I think the negative reviews are people misusing this. The first time I tried it, I had it backwards and it did not hold. You must use the side with the thin layer of foam.I have now used one of these almost daily for a year. I use it mostly with an iPhone 12 (fully suspended) and occasionally with an iPad (resting on the table).It works great and I have had zero issues. I even walk around with my phone attached and have never had it fall. The adhesive metal pads have not come loose, even when left in a hot car on occasion.

the magnets somehow messed with my laptop screen - made the screen super glitchy!! And those magnet stickers are NOT coming off from the back either! Nice concept but unfortunately disappointed

For those reviews saying the magnets are not strong enough for their phones, I thought that as well until I realized that both the red and the blue film on the magnets MUST be removed for the magnets to work properly. Once we did that the phone was rock solid. I can dial, swipe and answer calls while it is mounted on my computer. I have bought several of these for people who see mine and then they want one too. Highly recommend.

This thing works great if you install it correctly. It supports either my s21 or Galaxy S7+ tablet in portrait mode without issue. The bracket isn't wide enough to support it landscape mode for my comfort. I mainly use it though to hold a 2nd 15" portable monitor to my laptop, but have it set so its mainly supporting the monitor from falling forward or back and letting the desk support the weight of the monitor. Make sure to sure to line up where all of the discs need to go first. Then remove the red tape to expose the adhesive and attach the discs. Wait a couple hours to give time for the adhesive to cure to your devices before you try to attach and hold something up. Make sure that for the black side of the bracket you don't have any of the additional spare discs already attached as that will make the connection weaker. The black of the bracket should connect directly to the magnets you attached to your devices.

Got it hoping the magnets would hold an ipad on sidecar mode. Doesn't quite do it. It sags. Not super highly recommended. Good design, just needs more beef. Maybe if it had two magnets on both laptop and tablet? I dunno. It'll kinda work. Not great. Not highly recommended. It's okay.

This product would be great for smaller phones. I have the Samsung s23 ultra. Not a good fit. Falls right off. Magnet is not strong enough and I have to have a pices on the back of my phone to use the magnet. Dislike

I am a mobile app developer and always wanted a way to mount my phones to the side of my MBP while I am developing and testing on the phones. I have looked at lots of other mounts but they looked so clunky, cheap and I hated that they could potentially cover part of the screen.This product is the first one that I felt looked professional and provided the best visual and functional experience I was looking for. I am not disappointed at all and so far it is working perfectly. We just recently had a app demo at work to show off some new features. I had to show off this new mount and all the other app developers wanted the link so they could buy one as well. Definitely a hit.I have not tried it with my iPad Pro yet but I didn't buy it hoping it would work. I understand it works with some tablets but the size and weight might be a little too much. Might give it a try later but it has already way exceeded my expectations and those of the other developers I work with.If the manufacturer could make another product that easily supports larger tablets I would definitely be sold. Now that iPads can be used as monitors with a MBP its the ultimate portable workstation.

How light does your phone have to be to be held by this? I have an averaged sized phone and it won't hold it at all. Like, not even half of its weight.Maybe they aren't using the same magnets in different models? I don't know, it's pretty ridiculous. Not worth your money, heed the other reviews.

The adhesive holds well! It took me a while to figure out that the magnet was actually holding the 2 adhesives that were supposed to go on the back of my laptop, and that they give you 3 more as extra. The magnet did not hold well with my galaxy note 20 ultra; even after removing the case, the galaxy note 20 ultra was too heavy for the magnet. An easy fix: attach one of the extra Metal adhesives to your phone's case -and voilà ! Heavy Phones, even with their cases on, will hold firmly.The only downside is that if you're sensitive about seeing a thin, circular piece of metal attached to your phones back, then this is not for you. I would advise to attach the adhesive to your phone's case only, as I am not sure if the glue would damage the actual phone. I gave it 4 stars not only because of that, but also because there was no user's manual. The guide on the back of the box it came with was extremely vague. Almost returned it.
