5. “Feeding” cakes and basting poultry - Cooks use to soak fruit cakes in rum, and baste the Thanksgiving Turkey in wine and fat, making it moist and flavourful.
6. Wrapping citrus - Just wrap half of your lemon in a piece of cheesecloth, tie nicely. While squeezing the lemon, cheese cloth will strain the juices through, preventing splashing and seeds from passing through.

Simple, Delicious Homemade Labneh
Line a sieve with cheese cloth over a bowl, add yogurt, and refrigerate for 24 hours. Shape the drained yogurt into balls, place in a jar, and cover with herb-infused oil. Refrigerate for 12 hours before serving.

Washing Warm Tip:
Please rinse our cheesecloth with water before use. After rinsing, the water may become cloudy, please do not worry!
First, our cheesecloth is produced in a clean room with a cleanliness level of 100,000 and unbleached.
This is because unbleached cheesecloth is made from natural cotton, which contains small amounts of natural cotton impurities and cottonseed hulls. When rinsed with water, these natural impurities are released from the cloth, causing the water to become cloudy.

This came with many cloths. Ive never used a washcloth before.I've been pretty rough with these when making Latkes as instead of squeezing, I spin the cloth around to make it super tight and squeeze liquid out.Even with that constant roughness, as I make latkes often, the first cloth I've used has no sign of damage.Easy enough to clean and dries very quickWould have expected some tears the way I tighten it up. Worth the money

Organic Cheese Cloths Grade 100, 6 PCS 20x20 Inch, Hemmed Unbleached Cheesecloth for Straining, Ultra Fine Reusable Cheesecloth for Cooking, Roasting, Cheese Making, SteamingOverall, these are great hemmed squares of organic cheesecloth. I needed a tighter weave and a thicker cloth for making ricotta cheese and these fit the bill. I really like that they are hemmed and don’t unravel or have stray bits of the threads falling out. The size is perfect for my uses. I typically rinse my cheesecloth before using it as was suggested by a different manufacturer. I was told that unless they are manufactured in a “clean room,†they should be washed before coming in contact with food, especially food that will not be cooked after straining. I was surprised that it took several rinses before the water was clear. The cost of the six cloths is very reasonable considering that they are organic and a great quality.

The perfect product for producing clear jellies without lint when clarity is necessary. Other, loosely woven cheesecloths were thrown away after use. Not so with these washable and reusable cloths.
