The zebco 33 is one of the longest manufactured products for fishing that there is. It is ready to go fishing right out of the packaging. Highly recommend this rod and reel!!!

...I have been using the top half of these rods as a cheap option to re-tip my UL casting rod when its top half breaks, but, recently just put my Zebco spincasting ZD2 reel on the complete rod itself and went trout fishing at the local pond to check it out before letting my young Grand Nephew use it... Caught 16 trout on it and lost some , so, it was a decent test of it.... Biggest test will be when I latch into a big fish, but, looks like I'm going to save a lot of money, getting these rods instead of the pricier ones I have been re-tipping...

Arrived on time and as described .The push button in the reel broke within the first two weeks replaced by seller without question .Rod and reel was purchased for my grandson and is a perfect introductory rod/reel. Lightweight

I got this for my son in September and finally had time to go fishing today. I inserted the tip piece into the base piece and it snapped. We didn't even get to use it once. It is very cheap and I could only imagine if a fish was on what would happen. I would like to return it but it is outside the window for returns. Save your money unless you want to be disappointed!

I’m a fishing nut. I’ve been fishing for 50+ years and own 100+ rod/reel combos. I wanted something short and light specifically for kayak fishing. It’s perfect. Wish I bought two! :)

I’ve had this setup in the past and loved it. The problem is screw that holds the crank falls out when you’re not paying attention. I ordered two combos the same day from Amazon. They shipped separately. The first one showed up in a box big enough to ship a 60 inch tv. The rod tip was sticking out of the box. The was no padding/bubble wrap in the box. The reel was missing the crank and screw. Great job AmazonðŸ‘ðŸ¼. I’m not gonna knock the product, just the person who packed it.

Bought it for my 8 year old son. Still in one piece . IM-6 graphite composite rod is holding up. The real well ... I changed the line to 6 pound test. After it tangled up inside . Then had to cut the line out and add new line . All sad and dune . About 20 minutes. Cast a lot better with lighter line for smaller ligjter lures . I even bought last years model with the fome handle for my nephew.

I bought this for a lighter setup for brook trout and panfish after years of just fishing fly. I have had it on the water 4 times so far, no issues. Today I was into a good spot for pumpkinseed and sunfish, the combo worked very well for them. To my surprise a 14" smallmouth hit, it gave the rod a workout but I was able to net the bass (not what I would have used if I suspected that fish but the combo held up). Will be thinking about another setup as my wife fishes as well.
