Great rod and reel for the price. I just started fishing from a kayak and the simplicity of this reel helps. Can fit it anywhere. It's a little hesitant when reeling, especially with a bigger fish. Reel rate is a little low but for the price and convenience you can't beat it. Great for kids to step up to as they grow. The rod is awesome. Nice action and telescoping feature is well worth the price.

This little fishing rod and reel is amazing for impromptu fishing, or while camping! No issues so far with it and have used it dozens of times already. I plan on buying another to keep with my SHTF gear since it's so compact and reliable; and keeping this one with my normal fishing gear. The perfect sidekick pole for using two poles during the normal fishing seasons.Have always loved Zebco's products, and even though I MUCH prefer the older products before they changed manufacturing and sourcing materials, the newer ones still match up with the big brands. BTW, if you're a history buff, you'll love looking into the history of Zebco from their inception.

This is a good rod/reel combo. I haven’t used a spin cast in almost 30 years. These days it’s mostly bait casters and spinning rods. It’s fun to fish with the Zebco once you get used to it. When this rod is in its travel configuration, it’s very short and fits nicely in my back pack. It’s comfortable to use and the grip is just long enough. The reel is a great value. The rod is pretty good, but the very last section has no backbone at all. I’ve caught small pan fish on this rod and it’s a heck of a fight. Great rod to have in the truck for those “emergency†fishing trips.

Strong fishing pole and reel. Very convenient. I also bought a yoga mat bag to keep all my tackle and reel combos in. Reel is smooth and rod sets up and breaks down easy. Hurry up and buy this!

This rod reel combo has caught me more fish than any other I have. It is so much fun and convenient. I’ve caught an everything from crappie sunfish blue gill large and small mouth bass. It has been my goTo Confidence setup for a year still using orig reel. Reel is strong and has been reliable this whole time good line to. Would recommend if you’re looking for a compact throw and go setup it won’t let ya down or break the bank!!

Cheap pile of junk. 2 eyes fell off within 1 hour. I would recommend any other rod than this. Good luck.

I haven't seen anyone else mention this, but the rod seems very flimsy to me. I put on a 3oz weight and the rod beds almost in half. Not very functional if you ask me.

I have used for the first 2 days of fishing season here in Ireland on the local river . It was flawless . The only gripe i have is the 10lb line it came with . It had to be stretched for a few hours to get rid of the memory + twists . With that done it is now a perfect take anywhere setup that doesn't take up much space and casts well

Die Rute an sich ist ok aber die Rolle ist Mist. Es fängt mit der Lagerung an und hört bei den Mitnehmern auf. Diese beschädigen, nach 10x Auswerfen, die Schnur so extrem, sodass ein Abriss vorprogrammiert ist. Lieber eine stationäre Rolle nutzen!
