Probably the worst product I ever ordered from Amazon! Cheap, thin, paperboard and little pieces of wood. VERY hard to assemble! Screws are cheap metal that the slots on the screw heads twist easily. Almost impossible to assemble by yourself and if you are elderly or have wrist and finger issues of any sort, bypass this product. I had to drill pilot holes to get the screws in. My instructions were balled up in the bag with the cheap fabric step cover. The cheap cover is a nightmare in of itself to pull over the stairs once assembled. Save the frustration and get something else.

Very well made. Super easy to put together. Very sturdy....I'm hoping to train my 6 month old new puppy to be able to get on the sofa.

Do yourself a favor and look someplace else immediately. The poorly designed frame under the faux non-slip cover Is complete garbage. The problem with the nonslip cover is that the steps underneath do not hold the material securely. It slips off very easily. The steps do not have a back leaving open spaces between each step. Next it is assembled with simple finishing nails. This will never hold up to a dog 20 pounds running up and down the steps on a daily basis. Found another brand with a snap together frame which is made of plastic. Much better quality and very sturdy. The plastic has grips which keep the material from sliding around on the steps. One look at this pet steps and I wanted to return them as soon as I opened the package and saw what was purchased.

Tried to use these steps for my chihuahua, however it was too flimsy.

Not only are these confusingly small compared to what pet stairs are usually like, the plastic structure actually makes it less sturdy and less stable. This could not handle the 6 lb cat, so we got rid of it in favor of one of the ones that is mostly foam. We also have a set of stairs that is basically just stiffened unfolded fabric with platforms on top and even that is more sturdy and stable than this set.
