While most commonly used for masking purposes during finishing, there are hundreds of other uses around the shop, home, lab, classroom, etc. This superior grade of silicone is capable of withstanding temps up to 600 degrees Fahrenheit (315 Celsius) for 20 minutes and holds up to most chemicals. It is ultra tough yet flexible, reusable and will not crack, harden, shrink or break over time. I needed to backpurge some stainless tube for an intercooler upgrade on my car. This worked perfectly. Rather than spending a ton more on "purge plugs" i was able to just use a couple of these and along with a fitting. Drill a hole and boom! Purge plug!

I use these for tig welding. I drill a whole in them and insert a barbed fitting. They work great for wayyyyyy cheaper.
