Easy to install and works great. I did not use it for structural support, but rather as a pressure plate with a door lock system that had been damaging the wood door frame. The new plate protects the wood and lets the lock work better.

These mending plates make short work out of renovating old furniture or stiffening wobbly bookcases, The stainless-steel construction is not only robust and rigid, but also provides a modern look. These plates are ideal for adding strength to all kinds of joints. I used two to buttress wood molding around a door where I installed a hinge mounted doorstop. Initially, the brass doorstop I installed was pushing into the soft wood frame around the door. The door is solid oak, so the frame was taking the brunt of the energy. The mending plate was a perfect size and strength to distribute that force across the trim frame. The screws fit the beveled holes to lay perfectly flat and the stop now has a solid landing zone. You will likely find many applications for these stainless-steel mending plates.

These are as advertised. All fasteners were included, plates are heavy gauge and good quality. They're a relatively small mending plate, but dimensions are exactly what they're meant to be. No complaints; product does exactly what it's supposed to do.
