I had bought a similar product that was more for cleaning ducts. This is definitely strong enough to clean our woodstove chimney. I used my cordless drill and it cleaned it well. It takes a minute to get accustomed to the best way of operating it. Gloves are recommended. It helped me to support the spinning rod with my open gloved hand. They caution against holding the spinning rod tightly with your gloved hand due to your glove being wrapped up in the turning motion of the rod. Variable speed drill works best. Got all the soot out.

Even with the cost of the sweeper, we saved $100 in contrast to hiring someone to clean the chimney. Relatively easy to puttogether for a 91 year old.Very happy with this purchase!

Pieces all snap together easily but after using, the quick connect fittings are very hard to disconnect. Had to use 2 pairs of pliers to disconnect after 1 use. Other than that, did a good job of cleaning 8 in. chimney pipe

It worked and it fall off even from going up form inside so had to open up the outside where it was once a fireplace and got it and continued. I used 2 Dawalt 40am battery's before it was clean. It's now cleaned up and my chimney allows my wood stove to breath better than it ever has since I move to this home., and no more fire hazard. The box it comes in is good for storing so don't tear it open as it will all fit back in neatly for storage. For the cost, I feel it is worth the money. Now that I know how it all works it will last a a long time. I also noticed its set to go forward and wanted to come back the opposite direction so went on the roof and got whatever cresol was left. Of course, it will be messy but well worth it and I do recommend this especially if you're on a budget.

Nice product that is easy to use and easy to store. Cleaned my chimney with ease. The job was simple. I cleaned it from the roof-top. Once the job was done, the components were easy to clean and put up into storage until next year. Worth the money.

I cleaned my 26ft chimney with this chimney sweep kit, and although it worked okay, I noticed that because the rods are so flexible it causes the rods to “wobble†a lot as they are spinning going up the chimney. I realize the rods have to be flexible in order to go up, so you just have to try to control the wobble with the other hand.The other issue is that some of the plastic whips have broke off already, so at some point, another brush head will have to be ordered.Good news is it did clean the chimney pretty good and I could do it from the fireplace and nd not have to get on the roof.

I had a very plugged up chimney. This was Easy to use and worked great. Ver pleased with this.Be sure to get right length for your chimney. I should have ordered one extension length longer.
