Perfect for resin casting, degassing essential oils, not for stabilizing wood
This vacuum chamber is not recommended to be used for stabilizing wood and other experiments with volitile compounds, because wood stabilizing resins and volitile compounds are highly corrosive to polycarbonate and acrylic. Thus the lid may crack soon in the wood stabilizing operation.

Upon special treatment, the reading is accurate. The outlet valve has an air filter to reduce airflow and prevent dust from entering the chamber.
The vacuum chamber is made of high-strength stainless steel, it is good at corrosion resistance, heat and chemical resistance. The high-quality materials can hold a high vacuum for several hours.
Acrylic crystal lid is impact-resistant. And its excellent transparent and large window provides enough visibility for work.

I have so far used this to remove larger bubbles from resin before moving to the pressure pot. It will enlarge bubbles and make them float to the top...even micro sized bubbles become visible and can turn a 3/4 cup of resin into a full cup under vacuum.My vacuum pump designed for automotive A/C system repair will vacuum air out so fast and the gauge needle will move from 0 to -1 in a very short time. I'll never go all the way to -1. I've seen reviews of others who blew out their lids, but I can safely assume that it was because they went past the limit displayed on the gauge.

***UPDATE** Great customer service, problem has been resolved.As of right now, I give it one star. I can’t even use it. The washer and nut is missing. Original box was open and missing 1/4 if the box, so that box was then put inside an amazon box. Guessing the parts were removed when original bow was open. Hopefully there’s not more missing. By the looks of the pictures, the washer and not may be something special, so I don’t want to just buy any type to use. Didn’t have any info in the box, and no contact info on here, so I’m not sure. Hopefully they’ll reach out and send the missing parts.

The only things worthy of liking about this product is the pot and silicon seal. The manifold valves and gauge were cheap and would not close completely. The attachment of the manifold to the lid consist of a brass nut, a 1/4" brass pipe nipple and o-ring which were way too small for the size hole drilled through the lid. So after re-engineering the gauge and manifold with American made parts and correctly attached to the lid. The unit was attached to a small Harbor Freight vacuum pump with a proper vacuum manifold hose and then tested to see if it would hold vacuum.It did BUT, after 2 hours under vacuum the lid developed thousands of micro fractures (see Photo ).

I bought this item for my resin work, I didn’t order the compressor due to its heavyweight so I DIY and used AC compressor. The container easily hold the pressure overnight. I also vacuumed a small amount of resin and was able to release air bubbles and got a good results.

Unfortunately the stem of the valve was too long and unable to tighten the nut any further to ensure a proper vacuum. I was left with a 1/4" Gap where vacuum leaked. Was forced to return

First, box was completely ripped and smashed . The welds that hold the handles on create bad spots on the inside of the can, this will be a spot for bacteria to grow, and the metal to begin to start corrosion. But we won't get to that because the nipple that goes through the lid is too long and the washer don't seal. so this product is un-suable until I figure out a way to get more parts and rig it together myself. bottom line not worth a hundred bucks. Completely disappointed. Just checked item description and it claims lid is 3/4" thick. It is absolutely not, the lid is only 1/2" thick
