This part worked perfectly for my 2016 Hyundai Elantra. Now I can pop my trunk again with the driver side lever, as well as with my fob. Easy to install. I’d recommend checking it before putting the trunk liner back on. I used the neck of a screwdriver to close the locking latch and simulate a locked trunk, then used the lever and fob to check that it unlocked before putting the liner back on.This fixed both of my issues without bringing it to an overpriced shop or dealership and took 15 minutes to replace.Win.

My trunk popped open and wouldn't close. Bought this really cheap and have had no problems. This was before they finally put s recall out for my car.

The trunk on my 2016 Hyundai Elantra stopped closing. I found a YouTube video that showed me how to make the repair and linked this product on his video. The new latch was easy to install and works really well. The trunk now closes and I can open it using the latch on the floor of the driver's side or the fob on my keychain. It is identical to the old part.

I got home one night and got some things out of my trunk, and couldn’t get it to close. After holding it down with a heavy box overnight, the next day I called around and got pricing on the necessary part - almost $200 from all auto parts stores I tried. Looked here and found it easily, and even with the next-day shipping I paid less than $30! Followed a YouTube video and did the replacement myself, the part was exactly right and I haven’t had any trouble since. Fast, accurate, and well worth the price!!!

Looks just like the OEM part that broke off on my 2016 Hyundai Elantra. Hopefully, it will last longer than the outgoing part. The fit was flawless, the latch cable fit/length to the part was perfect and the electronic sensor connector was also perfect with a good connection. I just installed it two days ago, only time will tell how long it will last.

Installed about 10 months ago and still works great (2016 Elantra). Install was pretty straight forward. Mine was stuck open so getting in to tie down the trunk was the worst part. Forgot I had even done this until I got a recall notice from Hyundai today on the original latch.
