Design, Assemble, and Dissemble
Eccentric Design, ISO 15488:2003(E)
The inside of the ER collet nut is intentionally designed like off-centering to help mount the ER collet much easier. It is in accordance with the requirements listed in ISO 15488:2003(E). If it is made symmetrical, the ER collet with the diameter larger than the inside size of the collet nut cannot be installed.
Assemble
Insert the ER collet into the nut at an angle. Lock it onto the eccentric groove of the collet nut and push it in. (Insert the cutter right after the step, before connect it to the holder/chuck/arbor.)
Inspection
Inspect the RPM of the ER collet, ER collet nut, ER collet holder/chuck/arbor, etc.
Runout Tolerance: 0.0004"
Dissemble
Take out the tool bit, press the end of the ER collet until the collet off the position. Push it out of the nut. (after take out the nut out of the holder.)

A few years ago I bought an inexpensive set fractional ER32 collets to use in my mill. Recently I started to use a collet from that set in my lathe and noticed that it was substantial visible runout. Measuring verified there was .006" runout. I then checked the collet adapter and found less than .0005", so that wasn't the problem. I needed better accuracy from the collet for the small part I was making. As a result, I bought this set. Testing the runout from collets in this set showed less than .001" runout, not what the specs were but sufficient for my use. Highly recommend for hobbyist to ship the cheap sets, buy these instead.

i purchaced another set to save a buck but they were horrible. got these and first test i believed my indicator was broke. dead nuts spend the money once cry once and be happy every day after.

ER collets are an amazing thing for the home shop machinist. I love everything about the collets.Though these are imperial sizes, ER collets are springy enough that you can clamp down enough to cover any size in between.The case looks sharp but it is poorly made, like a cheap box a tween girl would use to carry her makeup in.The foam rubber insert is excellent, providing a way to store all of them--if I can find a way to keep the rest of the box from falling apart I'll be happy. You will be surprised at how compact this set is.

Excellent set of collets for the money. I’m a machinist of 20 years tooling up a home hobby shop that can’t afford to pay for the big name tools. I had been happy with some Accusize cutting tools previously purchased for the lathe, so I figured I’d give these a try. I’m very impressed with the quality and finish of these collets. I haven’t tried all the sizes yet, but what I have tried have been true, not adding any additional runout to my collet holders.

i have a lot of general mechanical experience, but not a lot of milling or machining experience. but i've been obsessing with runout measurement on my new drilling/milling machine and the couple of these collets that i've used so far seem to be very true, probably less than .00025".

These are dimensionally accurate and totally worth the money. They are far cheaper than buying one at a time and have had no issues with them at all.

I thought I would save some money with these collets but it just ended up costing me time which equals money... The first collet I opened had chips down inside it, and not just laying in there, they were still partially attached. I opened 4 other collets from two different sets that I purchased and they all had burrs all over them. Tried to use one and out of the gate I got 0.0013" runout, which I was able to improve only to 0.0005" after 15-20 minutes of fiddling with it. This is the second Accusize product I've bought and had to return because they were junk. I'm done with this brand.
