I checked pet stores and Amazon to find a backpack for my lab, so he can carry his collapsible water bowl and one to two small water bottles himself on our hikes. Of course you find great stuff to even greater prizes $$$. Since it is for us a recreational thing him wearing the backpack, I did not want to spend $$$. My lab weighs 80 pounds and I purchased the size XL of this product. I had to tighten all strings but it fits. So a stronger body size dog it will fit easily. I would recommend any dog under 80 pounds purchase a size L. The backpack is nicely worked, looks cute on my “Baloo†and even better with a pocket friendly prize $. Very happy with the purchase!

This is a very well-constructed and well-padded pack. The medium is just right for my 28 lb Beagle and it is very roomy. Baxter only carries his snacks and wipes to clean him up (if needed) before getting back in the truck or tent, but there is plenty of space in both sides for much more. Easy to adjust all the straps for a good fit and they are wide enough to be comfortable. Good webbing and padding underneath and double zips on each bag makes it so much easier to open from either direction. These small touches show a thoughtfulness of design that is really appreciated during use. Tough, easy to clean fabric and we love the navy, bright orange, grey color scheme. The only adjustment I had to make is that I cut off the strap at the very back...it was not needed to keep the pack in place on Baxter's back and it hit him at a "sensitive" part of his belly! LOL. Good job, Wellver and Amazon.

I've used this for around 5ish years until recently when my girl died but throughout every hike and every walk this thing never tore or ripped. I must have not measured right as it was slightly too big for her but she loved it. I used it for holding treats or small toys and it served that purpose well.

It's great for the price. We just needed a starter pack for our puppy. We've throughy enjoyed using this one. However it is not going to hold any weight. The strap around the chest is cheap and will not stay tightened. Every mile or so I have to stop to retighten or the pack starts slipping sideways and that's with a bag of treats, a foldable bowl, and an extra leash balanced between the two sides. It will slip one way and then the other so not a balancing issue. For the money I still think it's a good deal. I'm sure I could find a solution if we were able to use this one for long term but it'll be grown out of in a couple of months. It is really cute though. Easy to get on and off. The pockets are big enough for what we needed and have double zippers which is extremely helpful.

THANK YOU WELLVER. We've had a heckuva time finding a pack that will fit our goldie/newfie mix (that isn't over $100), and this one does the trick! For reference, Rudy is 150 lbs. and his back is about hip height, so if you have a very large dog, the X-large should fit very well. It's easy to pop on over his head, and I like that there are multiple straps to hold it in place that just clip together. The large pockets are especially good sized, and easily hold everything we take with us on a hike (two phones, a wallet, two water bottles, plastic bags, a knife, a firestarter, and a ziploc baggie with any poo we have to pack out, as well). We are day hikers for the most part, and have used this pack a handful of times, but it's showing zero wear so far, which bodes well for the future. Even if it does wear out, we will absolutely purchase again, especially at this price point!I hesitated giving 4 stars for this product for only one reason, but I can't fault the product itself for the failing. I do wish the bags were adjustable on the sides, allowing us to lower them on either side of Rudy's torso so he's a little more balanced. If he gets to itching or climbing or running too much, the pack WILL slide to one side. I think it's mostly because he is so thick in the chest/torso area that the bags sit more across the top of his back and less on either side of him, so the weight distribution is a bit off. Due to my own dog's chonkiness, I can't give this product anything less than 5 stars!

This is a great inexpensive option for a dog cargo vest! We add weights to the vest for our regular walks to help our 100 lb mutt’s anxiety. The size seems to run big-I measured for the sizing chart and it runs a little loose, even tightened all the way. Still very happy with purchase.

This dog backpack runs somewhat big in the Xl size for my 100-pound Lab/Great Dane mix. Fits fine overall but the rear strap sits back far enough that I’m worried he will pee on it so I haven’t been using it for short walks. But if I don’t use it, then the backpack slides around some because my dog shakes quite a bit when it’s on. I think he’s still getting used to it. He doesn’t mind wearing it. Fabrics are good quality and it’s brightly colored. Very lightweight saddle bag. Good amount of storage but I wish the bag had more variety of pocket sizes and drink bottle holders.

We took our dog backpacking and made him carry his own food. The pouches were large enough to hold 2 small collapsible bowls and enough food for 2 days. The fit seemed comfortable on him. He wore it on the trail and off leash running in mountainous, thickly wooded areas, and the pack stayed secure and didn't seem to hinder his movement or get shifted around a lot. I got the red and blue because we were out in the fall, at the beginning of hunting season, so it doubled as a high-visibility vest with the bright colors. Can't wait to use it again!
