2016 Malibu in 2017 body style. Trunk has been acting up for about a year. Had to press the release button in order to close trunk. Progressively got worse, until one day, it didn't want to open. Searched manual for fuse and replaced. Didnt work. Searched for trunk relay locations, but no specific notation. I decided to replace this part before bringing it into the shop and dropping $200. This replacement solved my problem and only took 20 minutes!!Trunk opens and closes like it's supposed to.Recommended

The item was an exact replacement for the broken part on my son's 2017 Impala. After installation the trunk worked like new.

I saved a bunch of money by shopping at AmazonThe Della price was over 200 AutoZone price was over 150 so far so good it works well I feels as if I never had an issue with my trunkPlease note that you must change the fuse because it possibly had blown

La verdad dude un poco del producto pero una vez que llego y que lo instale me sorprendio funciona muy bien y a un costo super accesible ya que de yonke me lo que rian vender en 3 veces mas el costo de este nuevo lo recomiendo

I was a bit sceptical at first! How long is it going to last compared to the OEM Part and surprised as to how many vehicles have the same part, well I fitted the unit and worked like a charm first time and every time. Very pleased and did the trick. Now I’ve got to watch the keys in my pocket due to the boot as us Aussies call it, coming back to the car and my boot being open!! lol 😂 Thank you very happy with my purchase.

There was a trunk open warning on my dash even when the trunk was closed, but replacing the old one with this one fixed the problem and it was easy to install.
