the headline says it all. one of the best investments in tooling for leather work i have made in a while. strap ends, rounded corners, and inside cutout. makes me snicker every time I do one now. rounding the corners off of billfolds, belts, holsters, etc. yes i would buy them again if any of them got lost. they are not bright polished but they seem to be made very well.

I have the ability to sharpen most of my edged leather working tools so I wasn't concerned about the "top o' the line" half round corner chisels, I knew that there would be some work involved in sharpening at least one of them to see if the quality of the steel was worth sharpening the rest of the set. It was worth the few hours it took to hand finish the edges of the other chisels in the set to suit my means for the work I had ahead of me. So far it seems like I have saved some money as the hardness of the steel is suitable for cutting the rounded corners of the leather projects which I am building at this time without rounding over or dulling after just a few cuts on each chisel. Good value unless one has to "farm out" the finished sharpening and honing to a professional sharpening company.

These are not the highest quality punches but they don't cost a ton of money either. If you're looking for something that can make a nice cut these will work. You'll probably need to sharpen the edge a bit when you get them. They are barely edged. But they work I'm happy with the purchase. I would recommend these punches as a economical tool that will get the job done.

These items felt really thin and maleable to the point I was questioning the material. When I used an over the counter lead test it was positive twice.These tests do have room for error but I'm not comfortable taking the risk since the tests have been reliable for me in small controled tests.

I bought this set because, 1. It was a great price and 2. I wanted something that could easily cut the corners of my leather projects, specifically wallets. What I’ve been doing in the past for rounded corners was taking gradual cuts as I rounded the corners to “round†them, however as much as I tried to measure, line up, and cut them straight down, they weren’t very consistent. Using sandpaper and edge burnishing it was easy to fix it, but I wanted something a little easier, faster, and more consistent. These work great. They were pretty sharp right away, and easily punch through 4-5mm worth of leather. I’ve never used high-quality, pricey, gold-plated round punches before, so I have nothing to compare them to. But they work really well for my needs and I’m very happy with them.

Granted, they weren't very expensive, but to give an honest review, I would have to say they're pretty rough. They made sharpen up okay but right out of the box they're a little dull.

At first I thought theses were useless but turns out I wasn't using the right substrate underneath. I had to use hardwood as a base. Works fine now.

The product seemed to be made of aluminium or other metal. But it is exactly as described and does the job well. Recommend buying.
