Having been in need of a quality, inexpensive file for a quick project, I settled on this one because the Amazon product picture shows a file etched with Made in India. Now, I’m not going to return this because it’s just being used for a single project, so I am indifferent.I haven’t tried it yet and have thrown away the package it came in. The file I received only has a marking of the manufacturer, not the origin. The back of the packaging, however, had very small print stating “Made in China.â€Just be aware that you might be getting a file made elsewhere than what it depicted in the product photos.

This file is made in China, and no better than a file from Lowe’s. Pass on it if you are wanting a file for long term use.
