I love these salt and pepper mills. I replaced my old ones that did not require hand grinding, but had a small motor in them. These are hand grinders, and I prefer them because I can adjust the size of the ground pepper based on it's use and they have quality parts - you can tell when you grind. I love the red color and am very happy with this product. They are only about 8 - 10 inches tall, and I worried about it befopre they arrived, but they are the perfect size. I highly recommend them.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS COLE & MASON PEPPER GRINDER. IT IS SLEEK AND ATTRACTIVE AND LIGHTWEIGHT. IT WORKS BEAUTIFULLY TO GRIND PEPPER EFFORTLESSLY AND WITH TEXTURE. BY FAR THE BEST PEPPER GRINDER I HAVE EVER OWNED. IF I HAD A RESTAURANT I WOULD USE THE TALLER COLE & MASON SPICE GRINDERS, BUT THIS SIZE IS PERFECT FOR AT HOME EVERY DAY FOR TABLE AND COOKING. I USE IT CONSTANTLY AND I LOVE IT. THERE ARE MANY COLOR OPTIONS IN ADDITION TO THE BRIGHT RED. I LOVE THE RED.

While the salt grinder is fine, the pepper grinder is having issues. It doesn't grind with consistency; despite, constant adjustment of coarseness. Also, it squeaks.

This is a lovely salt grinder but quality control needs to be improved.I had to return 2 orders as each shaker I received came damaged.I finally ordered a pepper mill in white to use as my salt grinder & all was good.Other than being damaged, this is a good quality grinder, looks great and price was amazing.

This is my first real pepper mill after using a dollar store one. This pepper mill has a good range of coarseness settings and allows you a pretty fine grind, or it can give out huge chunks of pepper. It holds it's setting pretty well, only having to be adjusted once a month or so if you want a really fine grind.The wood feels solid, and feels comfortable in the hand. It turns well and puts out a lot of pepper per turn compared to the cheaper mills.

This is about the best Peppermill I’ve ever used. The adjustment of the grind works very well and it grinds the pepper very evenly. I’m beyond impressed with this. There are some complaints about chips in the painted versions so I got the straight wood version and it’s absolutely beautiful and arrived in perfect condition.
