Torx vs hex was the main difference. And cheaper than others. A good, quick, solution for beat up old bolts.On a side note, be prepared for the nut to fall into the cab corner, and spend way longer fishing it out than you expected.

I had to replace the door pins on my 1998 GMC and realized the sloppy pins also took it's toll on the door strikers as well. These installed just like the originals and are just as beefy. I had no issues with the function, and I think these will last just as long.
