I wish I had this ball joint separator a few weeks back when I replaced the lower control arms and ball joints on my wife's car. I didn't have the proper tool and it took a while. This ball joint separator is simple to use and strongly made. There is a removable pin that can be changed to a different hole for larger ball joints. To remove the ball joint just slide the tool into place and tighten up the bolt. It will press the ball joint out easily. This is a well made tool for a home shop like mine and will probably last me for a lifetime. It also works on tie rods, and is much more efficient than the old tie rod forks that I've used before.

Works much better than than the ole pickle fork. Using a wack on the end of joint with a hammer while this is under pressure helps as well.
