These seem like a good tool for hook removal but haven’t tried them yet.

You'll neve save every fish that swallows a hook, period, hard stop, no question. BUT, these work so well for getting into the small mouths of panfish I can't sing their praises enough. Solidly works for a release of 75% of the ones I use it on. The other 25% get cut up for bait. Waste not want not and such. Buy these, throw them in your box, you won't regret it. I'd give them 10 stars if I could.

These dehookers are small but seem to work. The slot is hard to see.

First off, these things are built extremely well. They are hard aluminum and seem to be built to last. They don't take up a lot of room in the bag and they work. Totally worth the money spent.

Much heavier (a good thing) than anticipated. I expected a cheap feeling item, but it feels well made. Works well for deep hooked small fish. A tackle box must for anyone who catches small fish!

I have only one complaint about these, there is no way to attach a lanyard to these to secure them to your vest. Given their metal construction and the fact your hands will be wet, slimy fish, etc…these are prone to dropping.

It’s good to have in case the fish swallows the hook a little too deep or if you don’t wanna have your fingers bit off, but it isn’t that long and the end bit is hard to get to get on the hook/line if they’re thicker than standard. Good product but it could be longer
