Put this on my 1995 Thunderbird SC. It is the third iteration of the oil drain plug, and it has a rubber / Silicone washer built into it. It stopped the small drip issue I was having.

My drain plug started to drip and make a mess in the garage right after my most recent oil change, but a new gasket cost about as much as this brand new OEM drain plug. My old drain plug had been in service for 40 years and had seen better days, so the choice to buy this plug was simple.Amazon's vehicle fitment tool says that this drain plug doesn't work on '83-'85 Ford Ranger and Bronco IIs with the 2.8L V6, but this drain plug as the exact dame thread size as the original drain plug and screws right in. It uses an O-ring seal instead of a gasket washer like the original, but seals perfectly. It also has a 5/8"/16mm (they are almost exactly the same size) head instead of a 13mm head like the original, but if anything, that's a bonus since the head will be less likely to round off.

Was factory replacement oil pan plug and worked great. Had built in seal on head of plug. Gave to mechanic when he changed my oil recently.

Perfect fit for my 2010 F-150Threading goes bad over time and will leave an oil pan leak. This is the easy fix
