This replacement transformer was easy in install in my air handler. I saw some 1 star reviews stating they weren't happy because this transformer burned up shortly after installing it. Well, there's a reason your original transformer and the replacement one burned up; There is frequently a defective component that is operated by the 24V from the transformer or you have a wire that is shorted to ground somewhere (this frequently happens where the wires penetrate the cabinet for the air handler or the outdoor unit due to vibration). In my case, my original transformer burned up because I had a bad line contactor in the outdoor unit. The coil for the relay in the line contactor was shorted (it read almost 0 ohms); then when my AC Started, and 24 volts was applied to the coil on the line contactor in order to start the compressor, the transformer burned up (even though there was an in-line 5 amp fuse which never blew). I replaced the line contactor and the transformer, and I'm back up and running. I probably saved $1000 by doing it myself with $50 in parts. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS OFF BEFORE YOU START POKING AROUND IN YOUR AC SYSTEM.

Replacement in a Lennox air handler. Lennox didn’t have this in stock. They only had a universal transformer. Price was more than twice of the Goodman transformer. Only reason for difficult installation had nothing to do with transformer. Everything to do with roof support and tight area of electrical components. Having connectors up instead of the side helped.

Used this as a replacement xformer in my Goodman heat pump after inadvertently shorting out the original during a thermostat upgrade. The unit has been functioning well for the past six weeks and was a direct replacement size and terminal wise. Note, that it does have an output of 28VAC with a standard household input of 240VAC (variable input of 208-240VAC).

Ordered and sadly secondary windings were fried (transformer smelled burned) got replacement 2 days later worked great out of the box (i measured impedamce before installing this time though) sadly the customer waited 4 days instead of 2.Great device but I think I received used or poor QA item the first time!

Thanks so much for getting it to us quickly. It worked great for about 3hrs. But turns out we have more wrong than just this. We blew this one. Again thanks a bunch For making sure it got here quick. Giving 5 stars because of that. It blowing is an us issue I’m sure.

I bought this item as the backup, I didn't install it .It looks that will fit in original place in furnace but after opening amazon box got surprised what happened with transformer box. It was in war zone? Hope it will work when I need it.
