Worked great on my metal roof and I would highly recommend it. Beware of lesser quality ones from other manufacturers that are NOT compatible with a metal roof. Although the manufacturer is hard / nearly impossible to reach if you have a question / concern - but this worked fantastic for us in N.W. Colorado. Be watchful of your electric bill though; I installed much more than I needed and it jacked up my electric bill a little, so just install enough to get by - don't install more than you really need. .

Company was very responsive when asking questions about the heating cable. I haven't used the cable yet because it was purcased for next season but the company also gave me an extended 2 year warranty and a $ 10 credit ....

When I put up the heating wire these kept coming off behind me; I started pressing down on the clips to get the barbs to go into the shingles then they worked. Would use again.

Worked great and holding the cord so far. Will update in the future if they rust or fatigue early.

Had to buy extra clips for the roof because we have a really long house. They worked great.

This worked well on my metal roof installing in the valley. Wedging the clip into the edge of the other roof pieces ending in the valley provided an easy install point for the heat tape. It took some bending on certain pieces to hold the tape securely and some extra hoomph in wedging under certain pieces of roof, but it seems to be holding strong.

The product is flimsy. Ad states “holds 30 to 40 poundsâ€. The spacers are as flexible as copper solder. Memory of the wire opens both clips. DON’T waste your money

There should be a more multifunctional type of clip that can clip on the bigger things as well.

The hooks should be made similar to the upper support. Made of aluminum with an upside down profile

Haven’t got installed yet but will update when mounted. Fast delivery good price and quality seems to be good plugged in today one inch of snow on roof haven’t seen any melting yet will keep you informed but so far not impressed
