I've got a few Milwaukee tools, drills, saws, a string trimmer and blower all in the 18v platform. I usually spend a fair amount each spring on someone to do landscaping and this year was no different. Only issue are the holly hedges out front are growing like wild fire! I bought new corded hedge trimmers last year and they are wonderful, until you cut the $45 extension cord more than once! Anyway, I looked into the Milwaukee 18v hedge trimmers and couldn't see spending $175-200 on them when its not an item I'll use all the time. That's when I ran into these trimmers, had a gift card to cover most of it, and said what the hell, may as well try them out! Glad I did, they work great for the purpose of cutting back the new green growth of the hedges with ease. I wont push these on heavy duty chores, but for what I need them for, its a great buy and I highly recommend them. Now, they are not "Milwaukee" quality, and are lighter than the name brand, but at half the cost, its just a no brainer for light work.

I bought this for trimming some Jasmine, about 8ft along a walkway. This does the job just fine, it's a great idea to make these to fit other brands batteries so I commend them for that. With all that said this seems to be a lighter duty trimmer not for large hedges or trimming jobs in the long run. While it probably can do larger jobs I doubt if it would give years of service like a more robust unit would but that's just my opinion. Would I buy again, for my light duty job yes. So far it does what I bought it for.

I balked at paying for a Milwaukee trimmer due to cost. I only need it a few hours per year, so I took a chance on this. I used it for 2 straight hours and it performed perfectly. Cut cleanly thelrough 1/4 to 1/2 inch material without binding or jamming even once. Used about 50% of the large M18 battery. We shall see how it holds up, but impressed so far.
Vernacularly Malnourished. Harrrumph!

I cleaned up a bunch of overgrown boxwoods and a star magnolia with this handy tool. It definitely has a cheap feeling, it feels a little un-sturdy. But an off brand tool that's powered by Milwaukee batteries...for the price, I'll definitely take it. If you know hold a hedger and apply the right angles with the right directions, it works like it's supposed to and does it's job well. I really enjoyed how light it was too! I approve this product!

Keep shopping. This product won't last. I got 3 maybe 4 uses out it, then it crapped out.

Used it on 2 small bushes and the blade stopped working. Past return time because it sat for a month or two before use. After taking it apart, a screw had came off on the motor drive area which is needed to drive the blade. Reinstalling the screw and offsetting the blades (in order to cut) fixed this but it requires taking the cover off to get to this area. It’s an easy fix for mild mechanically inclined people but still shouldn’t have happened. If it’s out of warranty, try fixing it since you have nothing to loose. 1 star became 3 star, for the price it should work more than it did and people possibly not being able to fix this need to understand it’s possible it might happen to them and will have downtime -2 🌟

Make sure to tighten the screws very well. I think most peoples’ issues come from the screws on the handle being loose which prevents the switch from closing and operating the machine.

The trimmer feels a little light, but it does the job. Not sure how long it would last with heavy duty use though. It was reasonably priced as compared to an actual Milwaukee trimmer. I like the fact that I can use all my Milwaukee batteries with this trimmer. So I'm very satisfied with it.
