My daughter bought me a lavender grow kit for Christmas and as I was starting my plant growing process, I purchased one for a friend who loves lavender like I do. Both of us being gardeners, I was excited and felt this was the perfect gift for her for Christmas. My plant never took off. I followed the directions and got only 2 tiny sprouts which died off pretty quick. I hoped my friend would have better luck. She also got 2 little sprouts and since starting, one died off and the other has not grown more than a couple inches and very delicate. I tried calling the phone no. for the company to ask questions but no one answered so I emailed and no one ever responded to my email. I am very disappointed and I would have returned this item but the time period to return had already passed.I would not recommend this product. It is a rip off and I spent $25 for a piece of junk. I was embarrassed that I gave my friend a gift that I thought was a good idea but it totally let me down. Amazon should not even sell for such an unreliable company.

It too long for progress. It was very delicate. Very few individual stems popped up! Did not have patience to wait for it to pgrow! I love flowers and love to care for them but this product was not for me!

I found this product to be designed poorly. The packed soil did not stay uniformly wet, there were too many seeds and all that sprouted were spindly. When I thinned them, they still did not grow strong. Of the three I ordered, only the parsley did fairly well, however, they all died. I think I did things properly but, who knows. My final opinion is that they are not designed well and are not easily grown by the average person; I do consider myself to be an accomplished gardener as I have had 50 years of experience with mostly very successful results. But, who knows. I would not purchase any of this product again nor would I recommend it to anyone.

I saw this product and thought I would give a try. The oregano sprouted almost immediately and I was impressed. But as the weeks went on, the sprouts never really grew and, in the end, withered and mold began to form. I think a product like this has a great deal to offer - just don't buy any perennials. Stick with stuff like basil.

This is giftable but I bought it for myself to try if i could grow my own lavender plant . Money wise its a little to moderate cost . At first I was skeptical if i could grown lavender via hydroponics but figured i should try and im a curious . So, first thing when i recieved it i read the book that came with it and do a step by step instruction on how to plant it . I noticed that there is no seeds in a pouch or anything like that its BECAUSE its already in the soil that came with the kit. BUT YOU need to check the cover I shown above because the seeds are r sticking under it mine yiu that the cover is sticky and it kinda sticks to the soils , since tha soil is kinda dry when you recieve it. So first thing you should do is check the cover and under it thats where i found my seeds all of them. After i put water recommended to put in the jar i check the cover and saw all the seeds sticking to it . So what i did is take all the seeds from the cover and stick it jn the soil and put the cover back on . After 7 days or so I saw them all sprouting . Some vould take up to 10 days i think. SO FAR, IM HAPPT SEEING it sprouting and growing hopefully they all survive and grow so i could make a few hydroponics jar from it. Happy with my Purchase.

I purchased three of these in January. Dill, oregano, parsley. I followed the instructions including purchasing the plant food recommended to add to water. First, too many seeds come off on the sticky label. So particularly my dill, lost most of its seeds by being stuck on the label. The growth isn’t as vibrant as in the pictures. I only had a few sprigs of each herb. It’s much more economical and successful to buy a fully grown herb for a few dollars at a grocery store and keep it as a full size.

The basil plant is pretty large right now, at about two months growth. I purchased early February, read the instructions, bought the plant food, and put it on my window sill. The seeds that it came in pre sowed are EXTREMELY dense, causing them to bruise each other during growth, and requiring much more water than what i think the instructions were meant for. Then the water reservoir, being fully transparent, started to turn green due to algae. This was mitigated by wrapping the jar in a grocery bag, but I would love it if it came in its own full sheath. Do yourself a favor and wrap the jar away from light, buy and water late winter, and your experience will be on par with mine.I'm not sure what the future holds for my batch, since they're so close to each other and are bruising each others stems. However, I certainly will consider another herb.

I followed the directions exactly, it has not been over 2 weeks and I have 0 sprouts. I even tried using a grow light to try to help but it did nothing. Complete waste of money.
