This is really nice. It's made well and has a high cute factor. The pull out tray will hold your smaller things nicely and the bottom is roomy. Makes cute decor.

The family sewing box was over 50 years old, mad of hard plastic, and was missing pieces and neede to be in a box to stay in one piece. This new sewing box was smaller but forced me to down size about 25% of my sewing supplies which I hadn't used in decades anyway. The new sewing box holds all of my items I saved and has nice storage areas in the upper tray. I am haapy with this purchase.

I needed a coffee container for K-cups, cream packets, sugar packets and wooden stirrers for my camper van. THIS IS PERFECT.I store my pods in the bottom and my condiments in the top separated tray.I know this was meant for sewing buy sometimes the perfect solution for your needs is the perfect container meant for something else.Great sturdy roomy canister... even if you don't sew. ;)

I will be honest, I didn't use it as a sewing box. It was a great size and had the section to make a watch repair box. It hold my watch press, various openers, watch hammer, batteries and small repair/replacement pieces. Everything is in one place for my watches and I do not have to worry about loosing anything. If I were to use it for sewing, I would say it's great for a novice sewer or someone who doesn't sew often.
