Instructions are not the best for set up but it is not terribly complicated. You will likely need chemicals (chlorine tabs, ph up, ph down, anti-foam) very soon after set up. The cover is a full skirt on the tub and not easy to get on and off but is likely more efficient than the style that just sits on the top. There are clips on the side of the tub for the other style cover but they are not used. It holds temp pretty well while in use here in florida with night time temps in the 60's. Drops about 2 degrees and hour without the bubbles on, will drop faster with the bubbles. Probably would not recommend for outdoor use in Northern states during the winter like Ohio where we moved from. I don't think the heater could keep up.* update * cover is a pain on the backside. I don't expect my very capable wife to have the patience to get it on and off. May be more energy efficient but not worth the hassle. Would have preferred the top that fits the clips on the side of the tub.

Overall- Great purchase. Affordable, well built hot tub. Pictured you see me sitting in a 104degree to start, down to 99degrees over an hour in 32 degree Fahrenheit in Wisconsin today. The black thermal cover keeps it warm and conserves energy in the cold winter months. The round inflatable insert/cover will be great for summer months and leave off the thermal cover. I’ve owned for 6 months and it works great through our cold winters. I leave cover partially on to conserve heat. When wife or daughter in I remove to allow the room we need. It has strong bubbles, not jets as listed. Which is fine. The hot tub itself is durable. The inflatable insert seems to lose air when exposed directly to cold air. Much like a balloon, and is to be expected(seen in picture. In summer it expands a little. Before I put thermal cover on I blow some air into it like a beach inflatable. All good then. The therm cover is great and helps conserve heat and keep heater from working overtime- conserve energy bill. It is a snug fit and requires put on in increments and possible two laps around while pulling it down. Fairly straight forward. In 6 months of use the cover has a small slit in it from pulling down. I’ll likely replace thermal cover come next winter (November ‘23). We put a lawn chair tipped over heater/blower and place towel over that to creat a breathable cover to keep it from out of elements in cold winter. Would definitely buy again. We paid $905 for it and it appears the price has come way down. It’s a 6 person 85”, but in reality fit 3-4 people comfortable. Does not have jets like a traditional hot tub, it’s more like strong bubbles.

Long story short, I initially loved this. I'd wanted one forever and was finally able to afford one. All was well for a few months, then the pump CAUGHT FIRE! The seller said since it was over 30 days since purchase, I had to take it up with Intex. It took forever to reach Intex customer service, but they grudgingly sent a replacement pump. When I went to set it up weeks ago, it started throwing error codes. I did all the troubleshooting, Youtube videos, new filters, everything. The heater failed and it was toast. Since Intex will send up to 4 replacements (according to their OWN warranty claim document), I contacted the for a pump replacement as it was only a few months old. The tub part was still sturdy and good.Again, it took weeks to talk to a live person who directed me to fill out the online form and submit a picture with the cord cut. They said it would take up to 48 hours for it to be approved and they'd send me a tracking number for the new pump.As the weather was still a bit chilly, I wasn't in a huge hurry, so I waited...for SIX weeks. I finally got a hold of a person last Monday, explained everything. She told me she was very sorry for the wait and she would approve the form and get the pump sent out that day.Fast forward to today when I called to ask about a tracking number and make sure it was on the way because the online form said it wasn't approved and needed more info.I spoke to a young man who had no clue what was going on and kept putting me on hold to speak to someone else. Up to this point, he said he was working on finding out what the deal was, then why didn't i send a pic of the cut cord (I had uploaded TWO different pics of the cut cord and unit). Nearly an hour passes with him going back and forth with whomever he was talking to when I notice that the online form was being edited in real time. They DENIED the claim WHILE I was speaking with them even though for the past six weeks, they said everything was fine and they'd replace the defective unit.He finally gets back on the phone and says it's being denied because its out of warranty.Yes, the original was bought in 2022, but they said the previous replacement they sent had a new year warranty which still had a few months left on it.While the hot tub is great when it works, the customer service is beyond deplorable. You'll just have a very expensive duck pond with no way to get your money back or a unit that actually works. If you already have one, I wish you the best of luck.

Yes, I've only had this thing for a week so far, so I will update my review in a few months if my feelings change, but as of right now, I am loving this thing, and for the price of this versus a permanent hot tub, you just cannot go wrong!Likes:- The tub material is thick and heavy duty. I am a 220 pound guy and I can sit on the edge of the tub no problem. Very sturdy.- It holds its heat pretty well.- It has an app that allows you to schedule when the heater and filter turn on so its not just running 24/7 and racking up your electricity bill. I keep my heater and filter on from 8am to 4pm every day so the temperature is perfect when I get in around 8pm.- The bubble jets are nice. The aren't powerful massage jets like you would have in a hard shell tub, but they are still relaxing.- The light in the tub creates a nice ambience.Dislikes (Not even really dislikes, but minor inconveniences):- The app is a little finicky. its not as good as it could be, but it still does the trick.- The cover is a little tricky to put on with just one person, but it does do a good job holding in the heat. Just imagine that your trying to put a thick vinyl fitted sheet on a queen size bed. Thats what I would compare it to.- No built in cup holder. After the fist dip I realized that I would actually like to put my drink down. Luckily Intex makes a cup holder attachment and its only about $25 so I just ordered on of those. Problem solved.- Can't use it in the winter up here in Canada, but that is totally understandable for an inflatable unit. It will be great in spring and fall.In summary, this spa is a GREAT alternative to the real deal. No, it doesn't have seats formed to my rear end or built in cup holders, but I would much rather spend $1200 on this one versus $17k for the one my boss just bought. If you are thinking about getting a hot tub of your own but you aren't sure if you want to go all in on a hard shell one, definitely buy this one. It is just as enjoyable for a fraction of the cost.

Control box did not work, got replacement from intex, it worked long enough to inflate top cover and spa. next day top was flat and spa tub was leaking air from filler valve. Control box would not work again, so problem was in the main pump, motor housing unit. Junk do not waste time and money on this product. Had to buy 2 big boxes to be able to ship back, cost me $40 bucks for boxes and probally 8 hrs of my time. Overall it is junk!!!!!

Took over 3 Weeks to get here, not sellers fault, fedex fault. Had to do all the searching myself. Easy to set up and maintain. Not fun taking down however. Not for real cold weather. Cover really keeps heat in. Hopefully next season no problems

WE've only had this tub for a couple of weeks but it works well for our needs. Comfortable, easy to install and the wifi and app connection is really helpful. The temps do go down if you put the jets on but we don't find the actual blower too noisy as the bubbles themselves make more noise. Good buy for milder climates, don't think the tub would stay hot enough if you dip much below 0 C. good addition to the yard playground.
