We moved to N. FL just over 2 years ago, and some of my previous dry weather "best tools" have started to rust pretty significantly, and I've treated them in attempts to suspend the inevitable rusting. These are new, so unless they instantly turned to a rusted surface, any rating now would be incomplete. But I have two sets of channel lock (or slip grove) pliers from them that I've had for 5-10 years, and after 30 months in the Florida weather, they are holding up very well to the elements. The grips on my pliers are critical, and in the case of Irwin, they don't so much as wiggle.Good job in manufacturing, flawless function, and half the price of Klein.

As previously stated in other Irwin product reviews I'm a lifer customer. Great for when you strip a screw head, or a customer does. These Pliers have a nice rounded middle for gripping perfectly onto a screw head to crank it outta whatever it is it's screwed into. Personally I work on computers, and these have helped me get a case screw out where a customer had actually stripped it. They work excellent! And the rubber handles are definitely a nice feature as well. Very comfortable.

I bought the 6" and the 10" slip joint pliers when replacing a 6" Craftsman pair (I'm ashamed to admit) I lost. They are the first IRWIN tools I've bought. I think these are good quality pliers for a good price and I'm going to make sure I don't lose them!

At this price I would have been happy with "junk drawer" quality but they definitely seem better than that. The Jaws align nearly perfectly with almost no slop. Irwin has always been a respected brand and now that they're owned by Stanley I'm not sure how the company differentiates between the two lines, but I was surprised to see these for around the same price as the Stanleys or maybe $1 more. Other brands I would consider like Tekton were around twice the price of these if I remember correctly. These seem really solid so I'm glad I didn't spend twice as much.

I recently built a wooden toolbox to carry around my property for odd jobs. I bought these blue and yellow Irwin tools for it so that I wouldn't get them confused with any of my other tools. That way I always know where they belong. I am quite satisfied with the quality of these Irwin tools and would put them up against any other brand. We use Amazon for most of our purchases and I update my reviews if anything changes with the products. I do this so other Amazon users can get a real feel for the life of the product. I am not associated with any company and all opinions are my very own.

i was hoping that I could take these through security by putting one jaw in one pocket, and another jaw in another pocket. It worked twice, then German TSA found part 1, and then asked where part 2 was. nice try
