My initial impression on inspection wasn't great, but after using it I'm giving it 4 stars. I was surprised at how easily it punched holes in my belt. The punches are very sharp and cut through the leather very easily. I'm really happy with how well it worked. The first picture shows two new holes on the left. I purposely elongated the first new hole to match the existing holes, which made it easier for the buckle prong to go through. I didn't clean up the new holes before taking the picture, and I don't believe any cleanup is needed. The kit includes a round file that can be used for cleanup if needed.On the minus side, I was surprised by the so-called "punch plates." These are actually thin plastic covers that go over the metal disk. Each contains a picture of what looks like holes. I suppose these help keep the punch sharp as it makes contact with the disk after punching through the leather. Each use of the punch cuts into the plastic slightly. The kit comes with 4 extra plastic covers, so it should last for some time, but eventually you'll run out of these covers. It may well work fine without them and still last a long time, I don't know. This may be a non-issue.Overall I'm quite happy with the product. It was easy to use and did exactly what I needed.

This leather hole puncher works well and punches holes thoroughly and easily. The only issue that I have is that it was definitely made for larger hands. The thick handles must open wide to insert the leather piece and being a petite female with smaller hands, I have trouble opening them enough.

This was just what I was looking for, it worked perfectly to add an extra hole, cut through the leather with no problem.I would recommend.

I almost bought the Tandy as I had one years ago but the reviews on this were good and the handles looked like they would be much more comfortable. Opened it up and had not issues adding some extra holes to a few heavy leather work belts. Not sure about the file, ruler and punch plate covers but the carrying case is a nice added touch. Definitely worth the money although if you have smaller hands you may find it a bit challenging to operate.

This is a fantastic and easy to use tool comes with everything you need. I've only used it once to install a grommet on my leather wallet to allow me to have the chain and wallet on my left side as opposed to my right. The grommet grabbed nicely and tightly on the wallet leather with no issues as you can see in the picture. I Was done in a matter of a couple of minutes. I could see many other uses in the future for this, shoes, belts and many other things as well. Very good quality tool you will not be disappointed at all!
