Good enough build quality and accuracy. They are not perfect precision instruments, but neither are they meant to be. Most useful for a quick measurement on a nut/bolt head or a shank or hole. They do not lock in any position, so some dexterity is needed. All said I would recommend adding something like this (yes, there are other similar options) to every toolkit.

Well, not exactly but close enough. It's small so I don't have to look for my big one and unpack that, no battery and brass so it's non-magnetic. It just sits on my desk and I had no idea how much I'd use it. And I have a spare to carry with me.

These are useful as long as you do not need real accurate measurements. They should do a better job of showing the offset for the inside measurement portion 5mm or a little over 3/16 inch. there are some rough edges around the dove tail and rivet.

I like that they are all metal. Very durable. Unfortunately, the measurements are off by almost 1/8 inch. I still use it to compare thickness, but it messed up my first project relying on this as a measurement. It would also be nice if it were a bit bigger and had a rod to measure depth like so many others do.

I bought these and misplaced the first set I bought. I’m sure the first purchase will show up. But this is a nice, quality gauge and you get 2 gauges included in the price. But I guess this is one of those items you can never have too many of.
