What Is an Oven Thermometer?
An oven thermometer is a small, stainless steel oven-safe thermometer with a clock face dial that allows you to take the most accurate temperature of the oven. An oven thermometer allows you to measure the exact internal temperature of your oven—or as close as you can get—to ensure even more exact cook times and results.
The oven thermometer can be put in before you turn on your oven, as long as you feel secure it is in a safe place not touching the sides/flames, this will obviously effect the temperature. You will then be able to get the optimum temperature you want before putting your dish in.
Our oven thermometers are designed to easily stand or clip onto oven racks. The most important thing is oven thermometer that’s easy to read through the oven door. Most ovens have hot spots—areas of the oven where heat congregates and becomes more intense—so moving your oven thermometer around during your test will give you a sense of the different temperatures present at any given time.
NOTICE:
Please do not put oven thermometer beyond the measurement scale. It can't be filled with water, can't be wiped with corrosive solvents to avoid shock and impact. The oven thermometer core components are imported mechanical sensing components with battery free.

The dial face is uncluttered with large numbers to facilitate reading, even through an oven door. Also have a graduated color wheel that is marked for “Warm,” “Bake/Roast,” and “Broil” settings.
The stainless steel body comes with a simple, rotating hook that locks onto an oven rack. The hook can be 360° rotating whatever you want.

Reasonably priced & simple to use, to know the actual temperature. My $$$ new oven doesn't show actual temperature, just the temperature you set. Having this simple hanging/standing thermometer is the perfect way to make sure the oven reaches at the temperature you've set .. and stays there!

This is a great oven thermometer. The numbers are large and easy to read. It's accurate (confirmed with a thermocouple thermometer on my ExTech multimeter). But....the base is too small for the racks in my oven. The base is triangular and about 1-1/2" on a side. The problem is that the wires on my oven rack are 1" apart. The thermometer will stand up on the rack, but it's very precarious and the slightest vibration or nudge and the thermometer falls over and usually falls through the rack to the bottom of the oven. Not good.I'm going to keep the thermometer, but I guess I will need to find a small oven proof plate or something to sit it on so it doesn't keep falling over. I would use the hook, but when I have the racks in their usual configuration for baking there isn't enough room below the rack for the thermometer (because I store the other two racks below my top rack) and there's nothing to hang the thermometer above the top rack.Making the base square (about 1-1/2" on a side) with some rolled down edges that can catch on oven rack wires would make it far less likely to be knocked off wide spaced oven rack wires would be a big improvement.

The low end GE gas ovens have an adjustable thermostat but 2 of the ovens I ordered (and sent back) could not be adjusted to 350 degrees. I used my sister's oven thermometer, and bought this one as well, in case hers wasn't working. They showed slightly different temps, but accurate enough for me to keep the 3rd stove I purchased. Worth it!

This is a wonderful thermometer for the oven and it is a must buy because it is accurate. I moved into this little house as part of my job attached to the office that I work in and I did not want to burn anything so I bought this thermometer and it is accurate. It is easy to use and it's an excellent value for the money

I don't have a good way to check the calibration on this thermometer, but it seems to read about 50 degrees high. I compared it to other thermometers I have and that's what I got.

The hook can be turned all the way around. This means it can hang from an oven rack anywhere. Much betterthan footed thermometers that are unstable.

We have used this thermometer several times. In fact, now we just leave it in the oven hanging from a rack. It gives the exact same temperature as the oven setting. So unless the device and the oven control are both wrong to exactly the same degree the thermometer must be accurate. The dial is easy to read though that will depend on where you place it and how clear the oven door window is.
