I have mild back pain which appears to be related to working at my desk all day. Usually I recover from it every night after a good night's sleep but sometimes I don't and then the next day my activities are limited, which prevents me from doing yardwork, home improvement, or standing activities such as washing dishes. My back pain improved a lot after I got the Purple Ultimate Seat Cushion but I still had some. Now after adding this lumbar support pillow, I seem to have made another stride forward because now I don't feel the same kind of fragility at the end of the day. I'm really pleased with it.I think the pictures make it look like it has "wings" that bend around the torso slightly on either side; it does not have wings. I also think the pictures make it look like there is an indentation along the spine; it also doesn't have that. It does have something of an eggcrate texture allong the lower back. It's firm enough to be supportive and soft enough to add comfort. I wish it was a little wider because sometimes I get miscentered side-to-side and need to readjust and that would be less frequent if it was wider.I previously had a cheap lumbar pillow from my local big box store and this is better than that in every way; I like the cover, shape, and foam better. The cover material is a mesh which helps prevent heat buildup and appears durable. I especially like the straps which hold it in place at the right height for me. It works nicely with my executive office chair. I would definitely recommend this product to others.

My computer chair does not have a ton of back support and has a wide enough seat to accommodate this lumbar cushion so it works for my purposes. It has actually been quite helpful in getting me to sit with better posture. Without the cushion I was tending to hunch and lean forward, but with it, there is enough support that I feel more comfortable sitting fully back. It has a mesh liner so I imagine it will stay cooler once we get into warmer weather. The liner color isn't the most fashionable shade of pink - it's like a dark bubblegum pink rather than pastel - but it doesn't look terrible. The straps that secure it to the chair are widely adjustable and clip together which made it easy to fasten to my chair, but to be aware if your chair is segmented like mine, the straps may not be spaced out well enough to secure onto the actual seat back pieces. Only one of the straps was usable on my chair, but that still keeps it in place pretty well, especially since i was able to tighten the strap into place. Make the straps any color but black though! White or pink would look better with the design.

TLDRThis is the most effective lumbar support I've found. It's soft enough to be comfortable, but made of high enough density foam to provide all day (and night!) support in a recliner. May buy another for the car!Full reviewI've been in debilitating pain since an accident in 2011 destroyed my spine from the base of my skull to the SI joints & everything in between. I've struggled to find a lumbar support that provided sufficient support from lumbar through thoracic while still being comfortable & not putting pressure on areas/discs that couldn't handle it. This support manages to do it all. It's supportive thanks to the density of the foam used, yet it's still soft & puts no pressure on the extra sensitive parts of my spine (5 herniated discs in thoracic, 4 in lumbar, plus other issues). AND, it's even tall enough to nearly my shoulders, so it gives structure & support to the length of my spine (I'm 5'2 & short waisted though, so ymmv on that one!).I ordered this thinking I'd use it in the car, but after testing it in my recliner, where I spend most of my time, I'm not willing to give it up to the car! I will test it out in the car though, and update the review after. If it's as helpful there as it is in my recliner, I'll be ordering another immediately. Either way, I'm thrilled with this support & am so glad I gave it a shot - at $16 (at time of review), it's a terrific value. It's the least expensive of all the supports I've tried in the last 14 years, while managing to be the best of the many, many I've tried! I'm impressed & would recommend it to anyone!

My office chair is getting older and losing some of it's comfort. Plus, it was designed with a fairly large space where the lower back sits. So I have always had to have some kind of pillow on it for support. One of my old ones that I ordered from Amazon previously kind of lost it's support and was starting to contribute to lower back pain. Since then, I have used a light bed pillow but it was kind of too much and would not stay in place. This one came nicely wrapped and I had to let it air out just like other memory foam products. Once it aired out, I put in on my chair and immediately noticed better support. I had to raise it a little so that it fit my back perfectly. One thing that I have noticed after a few days is that the support stays in place and the memory foam is a lot stiffer that ones made for beds; this is a good thing because you would not want it to sag which would cause more back pain.Overall, I really like this memory foam support pillow. I am not sure how long it will last but for now, it has been the best option for my particular needs.
