Fantastic under tank heat for geckos. I got the 4 pack. I was trying to avoid a rack system to give my geckos a better quality of life. Biggest issue I had was getting those temps they need, especially at night. These work fantastic, the thermostat is pretty accurate and makes the setup worry free. The feature I loved the most though, the daisy chain! As a keeper of many animals it is always a struggle with outlet spacing, this allowed me to have 4 enclosures heated with just 1 outlet. I did purchase the extension so I could drop down levels and still just use 1 system. Best heat mats I've come across. I'm sure they would do great with germination or any other application one may need.

After about a week of using these, in a way that was probably less traditional. Let me explain.I have a 20x24 mini grow tent, and I've been using these 2 pads for the last to weeks to keep not only my seeds germinating in this cold Ohio weather. I've been able to keep the entire little tent a solid 75 degrees? Cold I go higher than that? I don't know, I'm not willing to try. The heat is very warm, and they are super easy to set up. The size is perfect. There is a lot of values for the money here, super functional, and not just with domes trays, these things are just all around great, and the ability to daisy chain. 🤌

Super disappointed in this setup. I bought it thinking I was going to be getting a decent kit with the thermostat to control the temperature as needed for different plant types... I was wrong. The first pad in the span is always the most closely aligned temp with the thermometer. The rest are ALWAYS hotter. Some days the second, third, and fourth pads are 10 degrees higher than the thermostat, others it's 20+.Today it was almost 30 degrees off. I had it set at 81 degrees Fahrenheit and the third pad in the run was 109!!! Pictures included for verification.I've noticed days where my plant pots are dry as a bone 24 hours after a water, and other times I can go days before the moisture drops.Waste of a lot of money on this.

At first, upon opening the package, the pads were very stiff and non-pliable but that is just what happens when you roll up 4 pads into a tight roll to fit in the package. Not sure how much more it would cost to ship them flat but it would definitely help. I had them unrolled and in place in the tent but had to weight them down until the plastic relaxed. Now that it's all set up and relaxed, they are awesome. I use them strictly for my 1020 seed trays. The temperature stays consistent which is very important when working with seedlings. They link together fine but if you put them writing side up, the connector where the plug goes into each mat raises it off the round too much so I have them upside-down.All in all, the 'little things' don't matter. They pad work great will need to buy another set of 4 for my other tent.

Maintained a great temperature, seedlings have been thriving. Only small concern is the packaging - it can take a day or two to flatten the heat mat out from being rolled up. Comes with two and can be daisy-chained for up to 6 - great for scaling up with the size of your grow.

One of the mats didn't work. Amazon Customer Service sent a replacement right away and all of the mats work! These mats are top quality. Loofah seeds sprouted in 3 days. All of my seeds have germinated; peppers, tomatoes, eggplant...

The LUXBIRD 2 pack 10x20.75 heat mats are a great addition for anybody who is into gardening. Whether you are starting plants for indoor or outdoor these heat mats do a great job. I currently am only using one of the heat mats and I am able to disconnect the second one and store it away until I am ready for it. That is a nice feature that you are able to disconnect the second mat if you don’t need it. These are the perfect size to get plenty of seed starter trays on them. Starting seeds for my outdoor garden this year is going to be a breeze using these heat mats. These are definitely a great value for the money. The hand held controller is very easy to use and the temperature probe works perfectly on the side of a seed starting tray. The growth on my two little plants have taken off since I started using these. I would definitely recommend these!

I am really impressed with the quality of these heat matts. They are perfect for the grow rack I built to start the germination process for my flower, vegetable and herb gardens! I tested the temp with an infrared thermometer and they were spot on. I like that you can link them together and use one controller: I plan to expand my racks in the future so this will be a great feature. I will be planting next week so I am super excited to start my garden early.

Used these for early 2024 seedlings. They had come bent in the package and were hard to flatten. Worked great for seedlings in early 2024. When I went to get them in late December 2024, the heat mats were rigid. I tried to flatten them without success. They were stiff, not pliable as they had been after use. Plugged them in for a few weeks at 21 degrees Celcius with only one mat having seedlings on top. The heat flattened the mats out. The mats which had no seedlings on top of them were still connected and in a pile. It was fortunate that I noticed the smoke!! One foot high of curling smoke coming from the heat mats. Pile of mats HOT to touch as I unplugged them from the outlet. They are now all stuck together. They went totally rigid after unplugged. FIRE HAZARD!! I now see someone else’s comment that these heat mats started a fire in their RV. Beware!!! I got off lucky. Could have started a fire!

These work great to get a bit of a jump start on seeds in the Spring. I really appreciate the built-in soil thermometer to help keep the temperature steady. I was using these in an unheated greenhouse and we had a few unseasonal cold snaps after I planted and these did the trick to keep my seeds toasty.

CAUTION:These are good, but ONLY work for deep rows (multiples of 20.75" deep).TLDR: Only practically-economical is the 6-pack, which IS very suitable for starting seedlings. Not so much other applications like rows of pots, unless lit on 1 side. This is a deliberate sales trick:- Connectors are non-standard: can't mix with other controllers or pads (most use 2 prong wall-plugs, even the manufacture's OTHER options...)- Their cables are too short to form a extra long row, 10" deep.- Extension cables aren't available- Individual controllers aren't available (since wired to 1st pad: if either breaks...)- Minimum pack is 2 pads (1 pad + 1 pad+controller)- COST of minimum pack is about 1/2 the 6-pad version. So don't buy 2-pack, then add on as needed. Buy a 6-pack and use what you need. Only use where lighting isn't needed or will be occluded, since orientation is fixed. Also, DON'T connect more than 6! There's likely a reason they don't offer 8 packs. At best the breaker may blow, but it could be the connectors, wiring, or pad. Please correct me where possible: I'd be thrilled, and will try to amend this. I appreciate the water proof connectors, but can't find them on Digikey, and expect I'll have to splice the wires (and coat in silicone) and buy a pack of 2 despite the bad deal.
