( 7 blades, coarse) In this reasonably priced product the blades are not changeable! The special geometry of the blades guarantees a good penetration in to the fur with proper use, you can effectively and neatly remove around 90% of the loose dead hair with it. Simple application: put on the fur with a subtle pressure, eventually hold against it with the other hand and comb out in the direction of growth (in long strokes) and then remove the hairs from the blade with your hand. I tried other brands but this works for my small dog. My daughter had a larger (different) brand for Aussie dog. M smaller comb works better to get the Aussie hair!!!! Works that good!

It works very well on thick coat (Springer Spaniel). A professional tool vs a cheaper look alike. Highly recommend as a working tool.

I have been using this tool a lot to demat knots from my Sealyham terriers, and also to remove dead hair from my Affenpinschers. Just take care, as it is sharp, which helps with the knots, but when you just remove hair, you need to be careful not to scratch the dog's skin. Overall I would recommend this product !

The only the issue I have is that it isn’t wider This device works wonders on my Cavalier. Simon has a coat that mats if he’s just standing still. A few swipes and the mats are gone

I purchased this to help with the “fuzzies†on my Brittany. After neutering, his coat developed this soft puppy fur that felt nice, but looked awful. I’ve tried the furminator, but it was too rough and did nothing for the fuzz. This gently pulls the it out, and as an added benefit, it works really well to pull the burrs out of his coat & feathers after running through the fields. I’m absolutely amazed how much hair comes out... I honestly hadn’t noticed a lot of shedding so I wasn’t expecting much! One of the best items I’ve purchased in pet care.

I have a 5 month old Wire Haired Fox terrier, I used the rake on him for the first time today and it's a revelation. I do not know how it does it but the rake fills up in no time, we ended up with a massive ball of fuir in no time. He looks like he's had his first groom, I can't believe how good it is.
