I checked twice on the dimensions, to make sure it would fit. Does fit, and its rugged, a litle bit akward and heavy, but likely necessary for its intended purpose.My truck has advice on how far the ball should be from the vehicle. My normal mount is a little bit futher out than they prefer. With this one it is really out past where the truck suggests. But have drive with bike/trailer on 200 mile trips with out issue.On the first trip, when I arrived, had a suspension failure. My truck uses air suspension, and I was thinking that the extended length and the bikes on the ball were too much. False alarm. The air suspension system failed because a wirng harness in the front of the car had rubbed thru the air hose. This leak caused the compressor to overheat, an expensive repair. But had nothing to do with the hitch. Just sharing the extra detail because sometimes things happen. And in this case it was ccoincidental to the new hitch, but they were not related.Also, I have a little box for my hitch parts. Well this doesn't fit into the box, so keep that in mind, you need to store it somewhere when not in use either at home or the vehicle. Enjoy - works as intended. The extra socket carries 2x 50+ lb bikes.

Used this hitch doubler to add a winch to my small utility trailer. Works great and I don’t have to permanently mount the winch to the trailer. The only downside for me is the tailgate would hit the winch if I let it all the way down with the winch connected. Not a big deal and if it was lower the winch cable would probably rub the trailer rail while winching.

Built well and appears rugged. Would have given 5 stars but fits loose in 2â€x2†truck hitch so rattles (none of my other ball adapters fit loose nor rattle). Don’t understand why the manufacturer didn’t design for a tighter fit. Regardless, functionally good.

I got this to add my bike rack when my trailer hitch has another duty to perform. Allows me to mount my Thule 2-bike rack over the tongue of a trailer.I also combined this with an 18" extender to get a luggage rack and my bike rack on at the same time. Could also work for dual bike racks, if you've got a lot of bikes to travel with.Very sturdy. Convenient accessory connector.Doesn't come with a hitch pin. You'll need 3 pins total when attaching 2 hitches/racks/etc. Doesn't come with a stabilizing clamp, so it adds some wobble to your trailer setup, but you can easily use with a normal stabilizing clamp.

Used it with a bike rack on my Caravan. One of the bikes hung down too low. This gave it better clearance. Can still open the back door with it on. And a great price and looks good.

Occasionally I will want to run a rear receiver bicycle rack and pull a box trailer. This raises the rack so I can do both - just verify the bikes on the rack won't hit the tongue jack or any other items on the trailer tongue. It also acts as a riser for the bike rack when not towing.

I bought this to give our bike rack a 2 inch lift from the hitch on my SUV.We used the bike rack when we go camping and with all the camping gear in the back of the suv, the bikes on the rack we're very close to the ground so I bought this lift to give me that extra 2 in lift and it works perfectly!It's made up very strong material and the welds look extremely good! I would venture it would be very safe to use this to tow something behind your vehicle without any issues!

We're currently mostly using this for its extension, but that it also creates a 2 hitch system is a nice added bonus.
