Several items to remember:If your original Ford oem solenoid is being replaced understand that this part will look different, it does not have the gold little post like the original but that’s ok because nothing went to that postTake extreme care to not loose the original retaining bolts as you remove the old and fit the new part to the truck frame, the bottom bolt loves to fall into never never landDo not attempt to use the original large nuts with fixed washers on the new part!!! They will begin to thread but they cannot fit the whole way and being that the two copper threaded posts are pure copper these nuts will torque the post right off.

Was using this to replace my generator selonoid.First checked continuity across terminals by applying 12v+ to signal and grounding the back plate. Clicked like it should and terminals have continuity! Passed my pretest prior to install.For the install:12v+ starter switch to signal. Metal backing grounded to generator. Main starter wire 12v+ on one terminal.1 wire from the other terminal to the starter. Rocket science right? First start attempt.... Clunk! And nothing. Attempt 2..... no cluck! Absolutely nothing!Now there is no continuity between the main terminals when the signal wire gives 12v+ and the metal backing grounded. Huh! Put this in the "get what you paid for" category.Have been sitting on this part for a few months prior to installing. To late for a return now. Put in TRASH.......
