After reading reviews on this mount I went ahead and ordered one for my work truck (22 Chevy Silverado) hesitant on some of the reviews.For starters the construction of the mount is very sturdy and swivel points are no different. Instructions that come with it are not step by step but provide you with a general breakdown of what goes where, altogether it took me 15 minutes to install.The extensions on it retract pretty decent as well from my passenger seat I can bring the computer mount to the driver side of my armrest easily and it still remains sturdy at that point of extension.All in all I’m very satisfied with the product, install was fairly easy (you spend most of your time adjusting it to your needs).After install while driving on regular terrain there’s not much play if any at all. It’s not wobbly supporting my dell latitude laptop (I remove my laptop from the stand while driving but I honestly don’t see an issue leaving it in while moving as far as play in the stand).

It’s a great product for people that do business on the road, the only issue is it has a lot of adjustment settings, requires you to be savvy. Size is good, better straps could be better.

The platform isn't very sturdy and flops around after a few days of use. Mostly likely due to the tightening mechanism not locking down completely. I have tightened it down on numerous occasions however it wiggles loose again and again. Overall it's a great product with that one annoying aspect.

Seemed like a good idea to purchase this for my 2018 15" MacBook Pro (which was functioning perfectly fine prior to the events described here). First, it took more than an hour (even with the help of a friend) to install. The instructions were decidedly minimal and essentially useless. The easiest part of the installation was the 1st step, but then configuring the proper angles and how to adjust to make it fit right was awkward, frustrating and should have been better explained. The straps used to secure the laptop to the metal tray are not universal and there were no instructions for how to install or where is the best location for my MacBook Pro, which is thin and fragile. The velcro straps came with a buckle and there are two of them but they are not convenient to install/de-install and I planned to install and remove the laptop each time I entered or department my vehicle, so definitely not user friendly and frankly not adequate for real security to ensure that sudden stops while the vehicle is in motion will not cause the laptop to dislodge from the metal tray. BUT THE WORST PART WAS...I never got to use the device. Once I FINALLY got the product configured in the best possible position -- which isn't saying much since while it is possible to telescope the main arm, it can't be lowered enough, meaning that the laptop sits too high for comfort, convenience and privacy -- I SIMPLY & GENTLY CLOSED THE LID of my laptop and opened it up again. TO MY UTTER DISMAY, my screen went blank except for some colored strips predominantly on the left side (where the plastic buckles on the strap were toward the left in the same orientation that the straps were secured to the metal plates when I took the product out of the box). BOTTOM LINE, my 15 month old MacBook Pro's screen is shot, and as I write I have had the loss of use of the laptop for 4 days (and counting) because it had to be shipped out per the Apple Store to replace the screen. So I can't work portably until I get my MacBook back!!!! Not to mention it is an $800 repair. This product should be removed from the market in my opinion. Word to the wise.

I love this product! This has made my workday go much smoother. It’s easier to work out of my car. It was easy to get together… well after I was able to get the screw bolt out of my seat. It’s also easy to take on and off for when you have a passenger in the car. It’s perfect for my needs. Thank you!!

It is wobbly and unstable. I have adjusted everything that could be tightened and did so as tight as I could do so by hand and with the Dell Rugged Laptop, it falls over after a few miles on the road. It might work better with a tablet but not for a laptop. Unsatisfied

This stand is great, bought after a lot of research and review reading. I went for this due to the quick release system and I’m very happy with it. It’s a bit pricey but you get what you pay for and I can’t fault it. Suitable for my MacBook and 12.9 iPad. I have fitted none slip pads and don’t use the Velcro straps and both have stayed in place, easy to install and feels of good quality. I’d definitely recommend

I have been looking for a while for something like this and reading any reviews on all sorts of models. Having now used this particular unit, I am extremely happy with it. It took no time to instal, very easy.I found for my vehicle Toyota Hilux it has excellent adjustable working heights. I use it in-between jobs and I can slide across out of the way or bring closer to work on. Very sturdy unit to hold the MacBook on.Yes, a couple of people made comment that it shakes about a little, however this is only when driving over a little more rougher surfaces I guess... When I stop at lights to look it and work on it when pulls dover or parked for a bit, the unit is perfect. Hope this helps, I have no regrets soooo much better than working off your lap. For me I have found good value for money, good quality, someone made comment about the bottom clasp cracking. I found that if you gently adjust the tightness slowly to desired strength it is fine.Hope this helps.
