I do use a little paste type cutting lubricant with them, but they cut like . . . . wonderfully. No force required at all. Each step is enough space that there is no need to mark the drill for where you want to stop making the hole as eyeballing it is easy.No visible wear after drilling some pretty tough ferrous alloy - marks on the drill from cutting wiped off and doesn't seem to have done much if anything to the Ti coating. No galling buildup and chip removal is quite good.Originally bought the 3/4 inch size and was sufficiently impressed enough to follow that purchase with the 3 drill set. I'm thinking that the duplicate one in the set will be used as a centering drill for lathe work. The drills appear to be very adequate precision for run-of-the-mill use and are just so nice to work with.

Okay this isn't the best bit on the market however drilling through stainless steel is difficult so if it can go through â…›" stainless then it's definitely worth the money. I needed to make the soap dispenser on my new sink a little bigger. I was sceptical it would work for the price yet it cut it like butter. Maybe I got a good on maybe others won't but it suited my needs perfectly.

Tough job on my truck,I had to drill holes in my frame to accommodate riv-nuts,attempted with standard drill bits,very little cutting and enough breakage to discourage me. I Took a chance on this bit and now I’m very satisfied.Bit is very well made ,good quality materials and nice craftsmanship. Initial application,drill bit immediately began cutting and remained mostly centered with little guidance and it just cut through this steel like butter. I cut 4 1/2 inch holes with very little effort and strategic timing of oiling and the job was complete in no time. Upon inspection of the bit afterwards found very little signs of actual wear making this bit a favorite amongst my tools.Would defiantly recommend this and I would think it would have no problem completing any drilling task you might have.

The first two holes up to 3/8 no problem, but even with oil going up to 3/4†was constant chatter even on a drill press. I had to buy another 3/4†drill to complete.

I gave a bad review on these to begin. But what happened was I purchased 2 different sets and gave the wrong review to this set. This is a good set and I recommend it.

EXCELLENT Tool!! A must have if you do electrical work!! My garage is a steel building and this drilled right through it like butter!! In seconds I had a 3/4†hole. No need to use multiple size drill bits to achieve that size opening as I’ve had to do in the past
