Drinking cool river water from your cupped hands, after a long hike in the sun, may seem like a great idea at the time. However, you can’t say for sure whether your next sip is safe from pollutants or disease, so best to ensure that you treat each drop with caution.

I Really love the pen! I chose this product based on the size, ratings, and frankly; how cool it is.Having the ability to sanitize my water where ever I go - even if I know it is ok to drink otherwisegives me peace of mind. I hate the smell of most city water as it is, let alone the possible contaminantsyou may find traveling. I also have used it for wounds and fungal infections so far.

I bought 2 o-pen, the first one lasted only 6 months and then stopped working (using it once per day only), now I'm using the 2nd pen. This product does the job well, but definately not very reliable for long term use.

I love these things. This is the second one I've bought. However I'm really disappointed that the black paint layer is scraping and flaking off into the water every time I use it. So now I have paint polluted water. So if you are going to purchase one get a stainless steel one because the black coating is not sufficiently Ozone resistant to last the distance. I'd only had it a month or 2 before thise flaking off into the water started. Next time it will be a stainless steel one I purchase.

Used this on a recent trip to Brazil and could really see the drinking water change before my eyes. Taste was fine, too. Pen is very convenient. Had to deduct one star for the hard-to-open case, which broke quickly.
