Exactly what we were looking for! I ordered these for an art lit class. They worked perfectly. Great color saturation, easy to use and blend, and great storage container. The students really liked working with the medium.

This set is fine except for one thing. The blue is not the same blue as in the picture. The blue is more of a dark navy, which is disappointing. But overall this is a great value.

Yep. This is how they arrived. The package was not sealed or taped shut and missing colors. There are supposed to be 36 of each color, but quite a few were missing at least 10 or more.

Came perfectly fine, however I didn’t receive the 12 colors. Instead of the 12 colors, I received two sections of the pink. I had planned to use that specific color for my project with my classes, young 5’s to 8th grade.

This product was completely mixed up when I opened it. Also, the pastels are in black wrappers which makes it difficult for students to determine the color of the pastel once it has been used.

We bought these for our grade school, aged kids to take to school. They work great in the kids like them.

I ordered these for my K-8 art classes. I have used these with most of the grades since my order and the kids are always excited when they see the box out. When I ordered them they were a little jumbled in the box but none were broken and it only took about 6 minutes to straighten them back into the correct sections. They readily wash off hands with soap amd water as well as baby wipes but they were a little harder to get off of the table tops. The kids love to smudge the colors together to watch them blend but I do wish they were a little heavier bodied.

5 stars based on value of product at retail cost of around $70-$90 Canadian dollars for 144 small oil pastels in 12 earthy and primary colours.Good for casual sketch work and scholastic use. Acceptable layering ability for hard oil pastels. More than anything, the support used will determine layering ability.For the cost equivalent of about five to ten artist grade oil pastels (these ones are quite small compared to any other brand), you can practice liberally and get a feel for hard oil pastels with these.Cylinder shape. not rectangular; wrapped in paper.Do not expect these to exhibit high lightfastness (except maybe the white or black). They are of scholastic quality.The dark/ultramarine-hue blue is quite vibrant (again without any lightfast testing or expectation)
