I received the large silicone bag at a (not-home) remote location. It was delivered on schedule. That part was great.I used the bag the following day to make a Kefir Sourdough Loaf in an unfamiliar kitchen setting.I found it easiest to mix the ingredients (flour, salt, touch of sugar, yeast, Kefir, a little water) in a large plastic mixing bowl to initially bring the ingredients together using a metal spoon. I then transferred the shaggy ball of dough into the silicone bag. I kneaded the dough in the bag for a few minutes, then closed the bag by folding the top on itself and using a heavy rubber band around the folded bag top. I then partially submerged the bag with dough in a warm water bath for a 30-minute initial ferment period. I then kneaded the dough in the bag again for a few minutes and returned sealed the dough-in-bag to a warm water bath for a second 30-minute ferment period. Same procedure for a third 30-minute ferment period. By then the dough ball was uniformly smooth in texture, about double in size and had fairly good gluten development. I removed the dough from the bag at that point and shaped it on a teflon-fiberglass baking sheet. The shaped loaf on baking sheet was then allowed to rise for another 30 minutes in a covered loaf pan.Into a 450F oven with the loaf pan covered for 20 minutes of initial baking. Then 20 minutes of baking and browning uncovered at 370F. The loaf was a little more dense than my usual loaf ... most likely due to using an old yeast supply in an unfamiliar kitchen. However, the loaf was very acceptable in form and flavor. Heavenly toast with my breakfast eggs.I am very pleased with the bag performance for both kneading and for fermenting the dough in a warm water bath. For making an emergency "on-the-road" loaf of bread in an unfamiliar kitchen setting, the silicone bag was of great value. I am very happy with the purchase.Second review: I gave the first dough bag to my Granddaughter to get her started in sourdough bread. So, I order a second one for myself. Still happy with the purchases and the bag utility.

I saw this on one of those "kitchen gadgets you didn't know you needed" lists, and I figured it was worth a try. I. Love. This. Bread. Bag!! It was super easy to use, held up really well during kneading, and was super easy to clean. It also made for a really clean and easy bread making day. Like seriously, you literally just load everything into the bag, kneed as directed, and that's pretty much it. You will ha e to turn it out to shape and place your bread, and that was the only messy part. I was slightly concerned about how I would get the dough out, but I literally just turned the bag inside out and dropped the dough onto my floured surface. I highly recommend this bread bag for anyone that loves to make bread, but hates all of the clean up. This would also be perfect for baking with kids!

It is awkward getting ingredients in and out without mess. I might need a great deal more practice. It's a good idea to put this in a bowl to give it structure because it will move around easily and collapse while you try to put in ingredients. It helps to turn it inside out when cleaning so you can see that it is well cleaned.

Making doughs is so much easier with this bag, I don't use it every time but when i do use it for recipes that are tried and tested making them is a breeze. I love the easy clean up of surfaces, my hands and the bag as well. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who would ask.

I bought it mainly to make fishpaste for fishcake. We traditionally put fishpaste into a mortar and pounded with a pastle until the fishpaste texture is firm enough. That always leve me a very tire arm.With this silisone bag I put fishpaste into it then grab the top follow by heavy hitting it to the kitchen floor. That is much much better than traditional method. Cleaning the bag is also easier than I expected, I just use dishsoap and warm water.

Silicone odor was transferred to the my pizza dough.It became a little weaker smell when washed with baking powder and citric acid.Almost every silicon products in general, there are odor problem.This is good for people don't notice the smell of silicone.But not recommended for people who care about odors.

This works great as a place to let my bread rise. I coat the inside with Crisco, put my dough in and place in a warm toaster oven. After the dough has risen I knead it in the bag. After kneading it slides right out and is ready for the bread pan. Washes up easy in soapy water.
