The Simund Ceramic Fiber Insulation Board is just what I needed for my wood stove!! After doing a ton of reading I realized I didn’t need to buy a name brand baffle board for my King Woodstove after mine broke. They’re pricey!! I ordered this in a size that was larger than what I needed and CUT it to fit! The ceramic fiber board was perfectly packaged with extra packing material so it wouldn’t break during shipping. It is VERY easy to cut with a razor blade or knife!! This is absolutely a great replacement while saving a good chunk of change!!

I have replaced the fake brick in my fireplace twice already at a cost of $200. So I am pleased with this light weight high temperature alternative. We will have to see how durable it is. But for the price I can replace it every fall if needed. Easy to cut and install. I'm hoping to get 2 fire season's out of it before it needs replacing.L

I’m using this in an outdoor fireplace. The inside back was metal and rusted away so I installed this board as a replacement. Works pretty good, no issues with heat. The only complaint is that it is quite a soft material. Very easy, maybe too easy, to drill, cut, etc. some of the logs in the fireplace can dig into the material if I’m not careful. Would appreciate a much denser material ideally.

Product was extremely well packed for shipping. When unwrapped we found berry like stains in many areas on one side and red marks on the other. Product appeared to have asbestos like fibres but unsure if asbestos. Certainly we did not wish to handle it as fibres were sticking out. Exterior is rather rough and certainly not for placement where visible. Manufactured in India, one would think the finished product would look more finished. Product was immediately returned for refund.
