Easy to install
Step1
1) Loosen the screw on the handle and remove the wire from the hole at both parts.
Step2
2) Insert one end of the cheese slicer wire into the groove of the cutting handle.
Step3
3) Put one side of the wire into the hole of bottom surface first; put the other side of wire into the hole of handle and screw the handle with wire tightly to complete the installation.
Step4
4) If the cutting is not smooth after installation the new wire, then you can hold the edge line and adjust the right side.

Edit: I have left the original review below.I'm keeping it after all. Ok, now that I've used this for a bit I have figured it out and the issue WAS mostly user error.Let the cheese warm to about room temp, this helps dramatically! The wire is no longer being stretched since it's easier to slice. Also I used pressure from my finger to help ensure more even slices, so there's a tip for you.Ultimately for the price this is probably about as good as it gets. If you want deli like sliced cheese maybe opt for a deli slicer.Original 2 star review:I mean it DID cut but after doing one block of store brand cheddar the wire was stretched. The very first cut was a warning of what was to come, every piece was uneven as the wire stretched more and more.Will use a few more times to ensure it isn't user error somehow but most likely will be returning as a knife seems to work just as well to cut uneven, too-thick slices.

Cuts block cheddar, Gouda and the like with ease and precision. I love the extra "cutting wires" that are included, as the wire will stretch with heavy use and need to be replaced infrequently, but periodically, depending upon use.

This slicer works great as long as the wire last. After about a half a dozen uses the wire stretched to the point of being unusable. Good thing it comes with a supply of replacement wires. I may have enough replacements to last 6 months at this rate.

Flimsy and easily breaks. Got stuck on a piece of cheese I was cutting and it ended up snapping in half. I was concerned anyways when I took it out of the box and it was literally made of lightweight aluminum. The wire was the only thing that worked well. Next time I know better then to buy a cheaply designed piece of junk.

Decent Cutter, But Flimsy Wires & No Easy ReplacementsThe cheese cutter works well, but unfortunately, the wires are flimsy and break easily, especially during cutting. It comes with extra wires, but I only received 5 instead of the 10 advertised. Worse, there’s no easy way to buy replacements once you run out. It’s fine for light use, but not very durable in the long run.

This is turning into one of my favorite kitchen gadgets. It is easy yo clean and cuts very cleanly. The line help to keep yours cut consistent thickness. It is very easy to use and built to last. Comes with replacement wires for cutting. This cutter not only looks good but performs exceptionally well.

I had a different slicer, blade was too thick and mushed the cheese. This one you can make as thin a slice as you want!
