Originally saw this on FB and knew I wanted one. It plays a soothing tunes when water hits it. I placed it my shower to try it out and it is great. I now have it on my deck and when it rains it sings!

This is a cute little toy, but a very “ehh..†musical instrument. First off, if you hit a note, the entire thing reverberates so you end up with a disharmonious ringing. You can get around this by muting all the other notes/“tongues†with your hand, but then you can’t play any of them.Aesthetically, other than the numbered note stickers, the thing actually is kind of cool looking in an industrial-pseudo new age way; it might actually make decent garden decor. But as a musical instrument? On par with a toddler’s xylophone.

I wasn't really sure what to expect from this drum, but it is lovely! I usually have a very short tolerance for my kids playing percussion instruments in the living room, but this one has such a nice sound that I've actually been encouraging them to play it more! It has also been a gathering toy, as I've seen them more than once gathered around it trying to figure out notes for a new song. It has a very peaceful, gentle sound that we all enjoy very much! Highly recommend! I'm actually thinking of getting one or two more for the other kids and so we can actually try putting one outside to hear how it sounds in the rain!
