Great budget bile rack. Might be a bit harder than the expensive ones to assemble, took me about 45 minutes to put it together.Works as advertised, doesn’t rattle or shake, holds the bikes well.My only complaint is the threaded hitch pin. It’s to keep it from rattling, and it works, but it’s a pain to put in and you can’t use a regular hitch pin without drilling out the threads.

Based on other customer reviews, I assumed that this was going to be a good purchase. But I must say, this has got to be one of the best purchases I have ever made on Amazon...and I have made a lot of purchases on Amazon.The build quality is excellent and this bike rack is solid as a rock. The welds are beautiful and completely surround each joint. As another purchaser commented, there is no spot welding here. And the black powder coating is perfectly executed and appears to be thick. Moreover, the manufacturer/designer included all of the extras. The included hitch lock with what appears to be a brass cylinder looks like what might typically be a $25 dollar option; and I also love the fact that you can also lock your bikes onto the rack with the included ratcheting hold-down arms that also have locking mechanisms.As far as assembly is concerned, I had no trouble assembling the bike rack in about 45 minutes by myself, and using only the supplied instructions--which I found to be very clear. Of course, I helped my daughter assemble some of her Lego kits and believe me, if you are struggling with the pictorial instructions, ask any child you know who enjoys Lego sets for help if you can't figure out how the parts fit together. Just lay out all of the parts and match together nuts, bolts and washers of the same size, and assembly should be a breeze.I would also point out that the kit I received included three wrenches, which is all you need to completely assemble and attach the carrier into your 2-inch hitch receiver. Nevertheless, if you have a socket wrench set with 17mm and 19mm sockets, it will make the assembly even easier if you use those sockets instead of the included open-end wrenches. Notably, one of the wrenches included in the kit is a gorgeous, 11" long, highly polished chrome 24mm combination wrench (open end and box end) that is used for attaching the threaded pin through the hitch reciver and the tongue of the bike carrier. I would guess that a similar wrench if purchased separately, even if at a discount store such as Harbor Freight, would cost at least $10 to $12 dollars; but it is included in the kit! I will keep that wrench in my SUV so that it is always handy for attaching the carrier to the hitch.

The assembly and design of this bike rack is very well done. It took about 30 minutes to assemble.The tilt to remove bikes/hatch opening and fold up feature work very well. The adjustability of the wheelbase of the bike rack is very easy to setup for the bikes. The rack comes with a locking mechanism to prevent theft from your trailer hitch.Overall I am extremely happy with my purchase of this bike rack and I recommend it if you are considering a rack for your vehicle.

Now that it's assembled it seems sturdy and will probably work great. But the assembly was a giant PITA--the written "directions" are just diagrams and are about 1/2 as big as they need to be to in order to clearly see the details. The video helps, but it's too fast and glosses over a lot of stuff--like the fact that you have to unlock the lock down arms to get them over the top of the upright bar. Both the video and the written directions both show them just sliding easily over the top of the upright, but that won't happen unless you know to unlock the things first. In addition, two of the lock washers were too small to fit over the bolts, sending me to the hardware store, and one of the holes needed to be drilled out, as it was improperly milled. This should have been a 30 minute job but took much longer because of this stuff, all easily preventable.

So far, I am very happy with this rack. It is heavy duty. My only complaint is that it is very hard to assemble. The instructions are poor, at best. All pictures, no words, and the font is way too small. It is very hard to define the parts, especially small parts, like the washers.

This is the perfect rack to carry my Yamaha eMTB. It’s a great value for the quality, and I like the fact that it includes locks. My bike is very secure on this carrier. I liked it so much I got a second one for my truck as well. I highly recommend this bike rack for transporting ebikes.

The bike rack was very well packaged.Relatively easy to assemble. Keeping in mind that some of the instructions would be better legible if printed a bit bigger ( the pictograms)Came with all the wrenches needed, impressed by their size. These were full-size tools.Once installed, the bike placement takes some fine-tuning, in relationship to your car etc.I placed 2 full-size bikes with the batteries attached. 1 Totem and 1 Rad bike. And had no issues driving around. Stil as tight upon return.

Very ok. The instructions are HORRIBLE. Nearly a nightmare to put together and understand how it works because b/c the instructions are so small, blurry, incomplete, pictures only. Honestly I would not buy this again just because of that. When I say nightmare I mean nightmare. Hated getting this working, now that it works it's just ok. It does what I bought it to do.
