I use these as quick disconnects for my 4†dust collector hose on my table saw, spindle sander, upright sander, planer, jointer and my router. I only have 2 hoses and one of them is dedicated to my tabelsaw so you can see the need for a quick disconnect to move between the various tools.

These would be perfect if the clamping pressure is about double what it is. They work fine, but if they are mounted on a dust port that is vertical the clamping pressure is weak enough that your hose will eventually slip off. If you use a DeWalt DW735 thickness planer that has a second motor for an additional chip blower, it comes off almost immediately. My solution to this was to slip a screwdriver or a dowel between the clamp and the hose to give it more clamping pressure. For the price, I still give this four stars but they would be so much better if they actually had decent clamping power.

Liked these well enough that I bought more. They hold well and are very easy to use. Should I need more clamps in thr future I will buy more of these. A++++

Actually didn't need this size right yet but I did try one on the 4" base connection tube down to 2 1/2" of my new router table, and it held quite well. I don't plan to return because I will need in future after I get my workshop built

Used these for shop dust collection. They have surprising amount of holding power. Haven’t had any problem with the hose slipping off connection points yet, this may change with additional use but over 2 months it hasn’t been a problem. Far more convenient than screw on hose clamps

These clamps are perfect when you only have one collector hose and have to connect and disconnect quickly. I leave one clamp attached to each tool and can now clamp my hose quickly.
