This was my first pottery wheel and my first time even working with clay. This machine is very well built and easy to set up and use right out of the box. I watched a few videos on YouTube on how to throw clay and got started using this new machine. It is very quiet and while sitting on a little stool the foot pedal is easy to operate and the splash guards help contain the mess. This comes with an apron to protect your clothing and several tools to help in your pottery process. I will have to experiment with all of them eventually as my technique improves. It took me a few tries to get the clay to do what I wanted it to do but I look forward to continuing with this new hobby and this great pottery wheel and improving with each project. It was actually more fun than I expected. Overall I was very impressed with the quality of this product and how easy this was to use, especially for a beginner as I was. The clean up is really quick as the splash guard helps to contain the water and is easy to clean and wipe down. I would recommend this pottery wheel for anyone but especially beginners like myself who are just getting started in pottery.

I have had this wheel for almost two years outside in my courtyard on the central coast of California. I'm a semi retired professional potter and wanted to still make a few small pots a week. I gotta say, for the price, it's a pretty good little wheel with decent torque and speed control. I do wish there were bat pins and matching bats but for the price, it is great. FYI I just found the PERFECT waterproof cover for this wheel on amazon. Here is the link.

It's a great pottery wheel. My husband loves it. It was a birthday gift. It works great. All the moving parts, everything is as it should be but we didn't get a few of the accessories that were supposed to come with it - the metal rib and the wire cutter for the clay. Otherwise the wheel works great.

I am so excited to be making pottery. I loved that the whole unit is light enough to transport and small enough to store in my studio. The tray that surrounds the wheel is larger and catches a lot more then the small trays I saw on other wheels I looked at. The simple speed peddle made it easy to create even in my house slippers. And there were 7 tools to use for designs and a cute little yellow sponge. I did watch a few reviews for a number of different wheels and found that going up in price made a huge difference in comfort, sturdiness and storage for this wheel, that is a bit of a more professional wheel. I was also super impressed at how easy it was to clean. I’m so excited to learn more about throwing and sculpting. This is definitely worth the price! I hope this review is helpful when you are looking for your wheel.

it worked really well the first few days and then developed a belt squeak after a week. Also the wheel is not centered, and makes a thumping noise every rotation.

This wheel Is very light, so it can be a little unstable, slides around or tilts. It’s best propped against a wall. It runs very fast which makes working with certain techniques difficult. It would be more efficient if it started more slowly instead of thrusting into speed as soon as you press the pedal down, it makes centring to trim difficult.If you turn the speed down it won’t slow to a crawl so the starting speed set point is high. If your a newbie you’ll have clay flying around at first.It lags a bit and is probably best for small projects.Good little starter wheel or just to mess around with at home.

Product is pretty affordable for what it is. Came with an apron and some tools which definitely saves you from buying a set separately. You'll need a converter/adaptor if you're getting ut shipped to Australia. Image attached of the wheel rusting which is expected.
