When I replaced my long term vegetable steamer because the center post had become unmoored and was causing positioning problems in my pot, I simply looked for exactly the same steamer. It lasted over 20 years. I had purchased other alternative steamers but none seemed to fit my pots as well as this original one. Height, diameter, construction, all near perfect. Anything that lasts that long in my kitchen with near daily use? It deserves a recommendation. 5/5

I got both large and small steamers. Both expand to fit many pots. Steaming takes less time to cook but with no heart clogging grease. If not filled completely with food you can close it up. Have to experiment how or if it changes cooking time. Must be careful of hot steam. For adults only.No instructions. Took a few minutes to figure out how to open it outward.One suggestion: enlarge the ring that's used to pull it out of the pot.Must use pot holder to empty food on to a dish. Should've bought one of these long ago.Price is good for all you can do with it. If you have a family you'll need to but it's worth it.

I like steaming veggies and steaming eggs. This was the first steaming basket I bought, and it works, although the ring in the center post is difficult to grasp to remove it from a steaming pot. A family member wanted it, so I sent it to them and reordered.Thankfully, when I reordered was better. ..didn't expect that. It was "Deluxe". Each of the three feet has two prongs to insert into the basket. The center also has two prongs that securely fit into the basket. It is secure and easy to use.Look for the Deluxe two-point attachment feet and center post on the one you order...you'll be glad you did.

I was able to fit this in 3 qt Instant pot and a regular pressure cooker. Works fine. Good capacity.

There's nothing like fresh steamed veggies and this steamer makes it so easy to get the job done. I've had several over the years, but this size is just right for a smaller family. It also fits inside our pressure cooker too!

Bad quality. It came in a plastic bag. Material doesn't look at all as stainless steel. Very flimsy.

I've had this for a year and it looks brand new. Very sturdy and easy to fold open and closed. A bit bigger than I expected (fits tightly in a saucepan) but overall great. I have to admit it's a bit hard to wash by hand (as would any other models be I assume).
