The instructions are pretty hard to follow being that each line looks the same and wire coloring is wrong. This drawing may help. The relay works great. Installed two spal fans in 68 Impala. The thermal switch included is pointless and you will have to get a higher temp rated switch. If you install the 175 degree cut out, your fans will run constantly and never cycle off. Amazon has them for about $10. I went with a 210/195 being that my t stat is 80 degrees

i mounted them next to the battery and the wires were long enough to reach the fans. i hooked them up to a switch that i had and they work good.

Instructions were clear and precise, except it stated gray wire, which was actually white, but easy to follow wiring diagram and very easy install. The most difficult thing was figuring out where to mount the relays.

Took me 45 min just get one work they plug in to each very well beware of the plug it junk the pin don't line up I had plug but not like these junk you do not won't by this
