I wanted a cool salt and pepper grinders and saw these everywhere. I bought the battery powered ones due to not wanting to have a charger on the counters.I how ever did not realize that it would require 12 total aaa batteries to power these 2 grinders. I did not see anything advising this in the product details.They are cool, but to be honest these batteries better last a long time.I cant give a 5 star review due to the description missing this key detail.We will see how they hold up over time!UpdateThe batteries last a long timeWent from a 3 star to 5 star after not having to replace the batteries after 5-6 monthsIt’s still a lot of batteries but works well!

These are really great when they work. The pepper shaker has had no problems, but the salt shaker goes through batteries like crazy, then it just quit working all together. I bought them in December of 2022, so it’s been just over a year. Sad because I really like them!

Everyone bragged about how the rechargeable ones were better not so true you lose a charge if your not using them the battery operated ones are better my opinion

Takes 6 triple a batteries per grinder, not included. Turns blue when using them. Doesn’t make a big mess. A lot doesn’t come out at once so won’t have to worry about too much on your food. They work perfect.

Great while cooking and seasoning after. They don’t appear to grind real fine but we prefer course so not an issue. No mess after use. Good grip, easy filling and set up with batteries. 6 AAA for each is a bit much but is worth it.

After 9 months cooking for 3 people the salt no longer works. Good while it lasted, but not even a year.

This salt and pepper mill set is functional but not as beautiful as the image shown.The metal is more like bronze as opposed to copper. So far so good. I have been using these mills for 3 weeks. We will see how long they last!
