I've used it maybe a half dozen times in a year and now it will not keep temp. C/F button has never worked, only functions in F. Not a huge deal, but annoying given it is listed as a feature. As other reviewers have mentioned, expect to spend another $20 on PROPRIETARY tips, as the ones that come with it are not well suited to anything but pretty blunt work. Maybe for soldering just battery terminals or other large gauge it would be fine. The tips should've been the deal breaker for me.My recommendation would be just get their fume extractor without the soldering iron and buy a decent iron separately. My old Radio Shack iron from 25 years ago still performs better than this iron from less than a year ago, which is pretty sad.

This soldering iron delivers what it says. The power is adequate, adjustable tilt is very handy. The iron itself heats up in less than 20 seconds. I just wished they included a few extra tips. This is not a professional soldering iron, however, it is convenient for professionals :). IMO it should be priced at 40-45 $. Overall it gets the job done.

The fan could be stronger or maybe come with a hose attachment that allows you to place the suction closer to the project for larger things like keyboard repair. Nevertheless it works very well and seems to be made incredibly well.

I had a problem with soldering tip but the seller is very kindly responsed swiftly and solved the problem by sending another soldering tip.

The tips for this are $20 for a set, so if you only use one type of tip it is $20 each. They are not compatible with any other irons. I liked this iron, it heats quickly and recovers fast, the filter has a decent draw and the holders are fairly handy.If you use a soldering iron a couple of times a year this is great. If you replace tips this is not for you.
